Ousted president's sentencing

Supporters of ousted former President Park Geun-hye hold South Korean and U.S. flags as they march on the street in front of the Seoul Central District Court after the court sentenced her to 24 years in jail and fined her 18 billion won (US$16.83 million) on April 6, 2018. (Yonhap)

Don’t worry, my little demonstrators.

President Moon will pardon her soon enough.

…so when his time comes, his jail stay will be equally short.

In Washington corruption has gentlemen’s rules.

Everyone is dirty, so it’s a bipartisan venture.

It would seem that when someone is under fire, they are either being sacrificed by their own party because they fell out of favor with their leadership (Bob Menendez), or their corruption is so egregious or incompetently carried out that the government could no longer turn a blind eye (Corrine Brown).

Korea is starting to look more like the Philippines. As soon as someone is out of power, the next one in their office starts looking to prosecute them.

It’s been a dog eat dog society since it’s inception. The Blue House is probably cursed because most Korean presidents have either been in jail or are in jail.
