South Korea Announces a 7.5% Increase in Its Defense Spending Budget Next Year

This is something that should make the Trump administration happy:

South Korea will raise defense spending by 7.5% next year to $44.8 billion, with $13.6 billion dedicated to strengthening its forces, the Ministry of National Defense said Wednesday. The increase is part of a nearly $500 billion national budget passed Tuesday after rival parties reached a deal, the Finance Ministry said in a separate statement.

The move follows U.S. pressure on allies, including South Korea, to spend more on defense amid heightened threats from China, Russia and North Korea. The Ministry of National Defense said the expanded budget will help Seoul respond to Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile programs, adjust to a shifting global security landscape and invest in science and technology. Though lower than the 8.2% hike requested by military officials, the increase is South Korea’s largest since an 8.2% jump in 2019.

I wonder whether would have said the same thing had his beloved Yoon increased the defense budget and not Pres. Lee?

No doubt he and his bots would have heaped praise on his beloved Yoon instead of the comment above.

Anyways, the recent increase proves that the Korean left are more competent than the imbecile Korean right and care more about the security and defense of the Korean Republic.

Yoon made a bad call but it was government vs government, not government vs people.

That is a very important consideration.

So, no, as a Korean nationalist standing against the globalists, Chinese, North Koreans, leftists, collectivists and others groups semi-unified by their bad intentions toward South Korea, there was no fear of Yoon turning weapons on Korean citizens.

Further, when elected, he immediately shut down the self-destructive globalist-directed covid restrictions and restarted Korean’s domestic nuclear program to ensure Korea’s energy independence.

That alone makes up for all the other nonsense.

The only things I know about Yoon are his less than 100% perfect skills at organizing/inspiring his own political party and the visceral hatred he generates in CCP simps.

The former implies he was the worst dictator ever. The latter means he really was good for South Korea.

However, South Koreans voted for the current leader, so let them enjoy what they asked for.
