Tim Horton’s Only Coffee Shop in Korea Shuts Down
|I guess Korean consumers are just not into Canadian coffee:

Canadian coffee brand Tim Hortons, operated in Korea by BKR, closed its Cheongna location in Incheon on Sunday, according to industry sources on Friday.
This marks the first closure of a directly operated store since the brand entered Korea, coming just over a year after the location opened in April 2024.
Industry experts attribute the decision to multiple factors, including declining profitability and the fierce competition within the saturated Korean coffee market.

Not mentioned by these “experts” was that Tim Hortons coffee quality has become gas station grade since its acquisition by 3G Capitol.
Stupid Canadians run around yapping about Tim Hortons like it:
1. is still any good
2. belongs to “Canada” instead of a Brazilian private equity firm headquatered in NYC
Bonus: less that 50% of Samsung Electronics is owned by anyone or anything associated with Korea… remember that the next time you wonder why “Korean” Samsung makes a few phones in Korea for the domestic market, but primarily produces them in Vietnam, India, indonesia, Egypt, Brazil, and Bangladesh.
“But Trump” is not the reason.
Brand over expanded and is in decline, Minneapolis shop didn’t last long and recently have seen Grand Rapids shop close and switch over to local Western Michigan coffee shop chain. Still love their dark coffee, my go to fuel for Detroit to Chicago drives.
