South Korea Sees Greenhouse Emissions Fall for Second Straight Year

Here is some good news for those hoping for better air in South Korea:

South Korea’s greenhouse gas emissions are believed to have fallen for the second consecutive year in 2023, government estimates showed Sunday.

According to the estimates by the Presidential Commission on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth, South Korea’s emissions in the energy transition sector last year were estimated at 203.7 million tons, a 4.8 percent fall from 219.3 million tons in 2022.

Emissions in the industrial sector are also believed to amount to 244.7 million tons last year, a 0.4 percent decline from 245.8 million tons in 2022, according to the estimates.

Don’t worry. China will pick up the slack.

“Greenhouse gasses” and “better air” are not the same thing.

The people now telling me how much better the air is with a reduction in miniscule CO2 numbers are the same people who demanded I wear a mask absolutely filled with CO2 not too long ago.

Protip: When you notice people telling you ever-conflicting things because it supports their immediate agenda (which is for their benefit rather than yours), it is your civic duty to tell them to eat a bag of assumed genetalia.

I refused to wear a mask most of the time, and when I had no choice, I never wore it over my nose.

Scientifically speaking, this is likely a big part of how I made it through covid without permanent brain damage.

Let’s look at the first Google hit on the subject.

“There were significantly higher CO2 concentrations behind the mask (3176 ppm) compared to the front (843 ppm) with an average of 49 minutes of continuous mask use. Of all the subjects, 76.6% had a behind-the-mask CO2 concentration of more than 2000 ppm (the threshold for clinical symptoms), and 12.2% had a CO2 concentration of at least 5000 ppm (occupational health exposure limit). The CO2 level behind the N-95 masks was highest (especially after exertion) and was lowest behind cloth masks. The combination of warm ambient temperature, an N-95 mask, exercise, and young age appeared to induce exceedingly high CO2 levels that should be avoided.”

We now know every single aspect of the covid response and narrative was wrong. Some people now admit that, some are in denial, and many just want to stop talking about it and pretend it never happened.

Global warming will eventually wear out its welcome as well and go the way of global cooling, the population bomb, and killer bees.

This will likely be when people have a choice in believing in fantasy luxury values or eating something better than the bugs.

With China’s hundreds of new coal plants and flailing economy, we can predict the yellow dust season will expand.

And rather than anger China, they’ll blame Korean Conservatives, Covid, and Japan.

Just remember every election has consequences.

CH: “an average of 49 minutes of continuous mask use.”
…now do 7,8…14 hours straight. The average school day plus after school “activities” forcibly masked.
They did a study years ago (before everything got stupid…pre-covid pandemic) of the effects of CO2 on hospital staff who need to stay masked up for hours during long surgical procedures. They determined even in the hyper oxygenated environment of the surgery room, with surgical masks only (not N95), in most cases the CO2 concentrations violated OSHA standards after several hours.
