Oh! Look! An open thread!

I guess it is time to whine about the vaccine and the dummies who took it and the evil dummies (and not so dumb) who tried to force it on to me.

Let’s choose a topic.

How about this evolution in narrative:

– the vaccine is safe and effective

– there is no evidence the vaccine causes any heart issues

– heart issues are exceedingly rare and most fully recover without treatment

– healthy people always die of heart conditions for no reason and just because you didn’t notice and never heard of SADS until recently is YOUR fault

– the increase in healthy young people dying of heart issues is an artifact of better reporting because government is getting BETTER!

– because of lockdowns, there were fewer tests so the increased rates of heart problems and cancer is due to less testing… and lockdowns were always a suggestion and not a rule so you should have taken better care of yourselves

Now that increased mortality of young healthy people due to heart issues is big enough it cannot be hidden, it has to be managed.

And it is managed to remind you it is all YOUR fault.

I admit it. I did not invent a universal virophage back in the 1950s.

I can’t speak for people who want to be “kept” by the efforts of others, just for myself. My pride would be hurt by accepting pay earned by others merely because what I earned was less.

It’s the same as being in a union and getting paid a standard rate regardless of performance. It’s the same, frankly as the so-called “minimum wage”. In a free economy, each of us should be free to reach an equitable agreement with our employers to do work fo a rate they’ll pay and we’re glad to receive. Upper and lower limits should not be arbitrarily applied.

I would not have thought the allegedly independent women’s soccer team would have wanted to behave as “kept women”…

Some questions, CH, answer themselves.
And the foreword to this book, or at least the copy I once owned, was written by the Congressman who died on KAL 007

Folks living in the town where I was born are totally in with the whole global warming scam. But they also celebrate Joe Biden at the White House feeding the French President with goat cheese from Arcata, California.

It’s a 400 mile “roadtrip” to Portland or San Francisco from there. There is no train service anymore because there are no factories and the lumber industry is all but shut down. And US Highways 101 and 299 are often blocked by slides similar.to those that killed the railroads.

The local airport was originally built by the US Navy to test takeoffs and landings in foggy weather. It is not busy and flights are predictably expensive.

That’s a pretty damned big carbon footprint for a smelly snack.

I don’t really want to hear any more misborn hypocrites talking about my miniscule efforts to feed plants. Not ever again. They’re more two-faced than Saint Fauci of the Clotshot and his sacred Fitty-cent box of Chinese Face Diapers.

And I will remind them of it at every “Safe” and “Effective” opportunity.

Setnaffa, America has fùcked itself.

I wanted to cry.

Now I laugh.

Everyone deserves it… hard, fast, and with no lube.

Americans can eat a load of shìt. Koreans are not far behind.

People deserve what they accept.

Maybe self-induced hardship will burn out the stupidity.

I can write logical and informative posts and nobody will listen. I can shìtpost until blue in the face. It won’t change anything.

So fùck ’em. Let them learn the hard way. I am pretty buffered against whatever stupidity the world comes up with. I will have it better than most. I have it better than most now.

But… hahahah…

The EU deserves it more.

They destroyed their energy sector. They destroyed their industrial sector. They are trying to destroy their farming sector.

Good.

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as “bad luck.

In the late 1970s, Jimmy Carter shut down much of America’s Conventional forces so he could spend more on paying people not to work while collapsing our economy.

As today, he bragged on the as-yet undeployed F-117 Stealth Fighter.

I remember, because at the time I was flying in bombers older than I. Much like our current B-52 crews.

Carter may have been a nice guy; but all we saw was his incompetence, his emboldening of our enemies, and the contempt for America expressed by our allies.

Through a series of incidents, we almost had a massive exchange of nuclear weapons. During a couple of those, I was on one of the crews that ran out to the aircraft, started engines, and started to taxi. We were within minutes of launching all the alert bombers in the US when the situation was resolved.

Flash forward from 1979 to today. The B-21 has yet to fly. There are six total under construction. There are no Bombers and damned few missiles (land or sub-based) on nuclear alert. And Stephen thinks the leader of the Russian Mafia is afraid of America because of something that might happen in 20 years?

Dude, “SpongeBrain Puddingpants” is not Vlad Putin.

And your fake bravado is just embarrassing to people who actually served.

And it won’t cover up how Pre-Musk Twitter colluded with Democrats to censor soeech and sway elections in US and Brazil. It won’t cover up Hunter’s laptop. And it won’t cover up Afghanistan, which still has Americans who never escaped as well as still exporting terror to Pakistan.

So stay in your lane.

Stephen, help me understand your thinking.

Are you saying Putin, is somehow… uh… not sure… pooping?

That’s a pretty bold accusation.

Be it Putin or Biden, I find it a bit silly to make fun of an old guy giving a squirt into his pants now and then. If it was a regular thing and was causing trouble, I might hassle them for poor management, but kinda childish to say anything about it happening.

…like teasing a woman because she bleeds once a month. That’s stupid. Though you can say, “Wait. You have been doing this once a month on a regular schedule since you were 12 and we need to drop everything and find an emergency tampon?”

Americans hate Putin because they are told to hate Putin. I never get a straight answer as to why.

If I ask, I get the same level of crazy as I get from the “Trump is selling nuclear codes” and “Musk is incompetent” nonsense.

But I will ask.

Stephen, why are you hating on Putin?

…and making baseless accusations that he poops in a toilet?

Setnaffa, it is possible to throw all your passion into hatred yet have it compartmentalized so that it does not affect your life.

In fact, the emotional outlet of directed hate might be quite healthy.

I find hating on those who tried to keep me from buying food because I wouldn’t participate in their medical experiment to be a very satisfying experience… yet it doesn’t handicap my life in any way.

As I am pretty much 24/7 trying to accomplish things at the edge of my ability, I find that I am often frustrated (which is another story). It feels good to take a break and make fun of some stooge who lectured me about “You just don’t understand the science, man.”

I feel my irritation flow out and away… and I feel refreshed and ready to fight the world again.

As for this guy, I think the going rate to make a prisoner’s life a living hell is 30 bucks a month. That’s what I pay.

I’ve been thinking about the post-ROK Drop era.

It is inevitable that GI Korea will tire of the blogging since he has other commitments and as shown with other K-bloggers, there comes a time when you feel boredom, burnout, and lack of purpose which might make GI Korea think about the next steps.

In which case, he can do two things.

First he can shut it down or turn it over lock and stock to someone else.

I believe setnaffa would raise his hand and be the first to stand in line for the opportunity to own the ROK Drop.

Of course we all know he will populate it with his Setnaffarian sockpuppets, ban all those who do not agree with his viewpoints, and cover it with conspiracy theories and fake news.

In which case it will be a comical end to the ROK Drop. 😀

ChickenHead

Funny you should mention that.

I, too, was thinking about the post-ROK Drop era.

It will be a terrible time with shortages of all basic needs. Villains and ruffians of every sort will roam the perpetual twilight amid the wreckage of civilization.

But on the plus side, I will have nothing but time and hunger.

I will put on my polymer isolation suit under the spiked leathers, affix the armored mask to my face and calibrate the heads up display, tighten the filter hood and make sure all the bioseals are locked.

Then I will hunt you down and eat you.

If you have no facts and you generally aren’t clever, try to be insulting.

If that doesn’t work, pretend to be dismissive because you have nothing left.

Instead of “whatever chickenhead” why don’t you just come out and say “I can’t keep up with you but I have to respond to everything and this is all I got.”

In reality, you can say “whatever”… but you will respond to everything I write.

And if you have enough self-control not to, you will at least read it.

And if you force yourself really, really hard not to read it, you will be an outcast in the conversation as we openly talk about you behind your back.

Every response option you have will be wrong.

Most people go through life like this.

Funny… I don’t see CH as hiding me at all… He’s too skinny and too far away.

Silly little projectionists…

OTOH, I do see him pointlessly arguing with a gaggle of Chinese incels; but he likes that and it amuses all the non-CCP readers.

I see that setnaffa has come out and dropped his sockpuppet for once.

It is interesting to note that setnaffa and the so called Chicken head react strongly the most when I suggest that they might be one and the same.

Maybe there is truth to what I claim.

Yes, CH, it is so sad about those incels. If they spent as much time trying to pick up girls as they do trying to date one of us, they could have gotten laid by Songtan Sally by now. On a slow, cloudy night, anyway.

“You wanna go?”

No.

they do trying to date one of us

Actually it’s the other way round.

The Setnaffarians are trying to “date” me and KM in order to convince us to drop our activities against the Setnaffarians and accept the Setnaffarian ideals and viewpoints of the world.

It is obvious that the Setnaffarians are living in denial and that they are the ones who are the laughing stock with their ridiculous conspiracy theories and such.

laid by Songtan Sally by now

It is obvious that setnaffa’s Korean wife, assuming she exists at all, has left him.

Considering setnaffa’s personality that is not surprising.

And if one takes into account that setnaffa hasn’t had a lay for quite a while it would explain his mental state.

From Instapundit:

EVERYTHING’S A TRADEOFF: Germicidal UV lamps: A trade-off between disinfection and air quality.

Disinfecting UVC, also called germicidal UV, lamp systems have long been a cost-effective way to rapidly inactivate airborne pathogens indoors. One design uses lamps that shine at 254 nm, a wavelength that’s damaging to humans’ skin and eyes, requiring the devices to be mounted near the ceiling or inside ventilation ducts. Recently, light at 222 nm has been suggested for whole-room disinfection because the wavelength is reported to be safer for humans.

However, UVC light can set off many reactions. For example, this type of light is known to break apart molecules in the air, forming strong oxidants, such as hydroxyl radicals and ozone. Then these oxidants can convert volatile organic compounds (VOCs) already in the air into peroxides and carbonyl compounds, which can be further broken up by UVC light into organic radicals.

The strong oxidants and organic radicals are known to undergo secondary reactions to generate additional VOCs and particulate matter, some of which could negatively impact people’s health. But the levels of compounds potentially generated from these secondary reactions from GUV systems hadn’t been studied. So, Zhe Peng, Shelly Miller and Jose Jimenez wanted to use computer models to evaluate the possible impact that the two types of UVC air cleaning systems could have on disinfection and air quality in typical indoor conditions.

With computer simulations, the researchers estimated the SARS-CoV-2 virus removal rate and the amount of secondary VOCs that would be generated in three indoor scenarios in conjunction with different room ventilation rates. Initial results indicated that both UVC wavelengths would significantly decrease the risk of infection by SARS-CoV-2 compared to ventilation alone.

The models also projected that the systems would initiate secondary reactions with VOCs expected to be in indoor air. Although only small amounts of secondary VOCs, ozone and particulate matter would likely be produced, the estimated levels weren’t negligible.

In possibly one of the best trades in modern sports, an American-hating basketball-playing pothead has been exchanged for the arms dealer who inspired Lord of War.

The Russian woman’s basketball team is going to be pretty disappointed to learn that he can’t reliably sink a ball and he isn’t a woman.

American negotiators are amazing and the Russians are stupid.
