ROK Gender Minister Nominees Resigns Over Abuses of Power Allegations
This is the first time I have heard of an abuse of power allegations where a national assemblyman had aids do household chores for them. For all the things for a cabinet nominee to resign over, being too lazy to dump your own trash was not on my bingo card:
Gender Equality Minister nominee Kang Sun-woo stepped down Wednesday amid criticism over alleged workplace abuses during her time as a lawmaker.
Kang has come under fire during her parliamentary confirmation hearing for various allegations, including having legislative aides perform her household chores, such as disposing of food waste at her home.
“I offer my sincere apologies to the people for the pain I have caused,” Kang said on her Facebook page. “I humbly accept the criticism and will live with self-reflection.”
“I am truly sorry to President Lee Jae Myung, who trusted me and gave me this opportunity,” she added.

I got that he was surprised a libtard nominee, hot in the àss for gender, equality, the marginalized, and other such exploitive silliness, would exploit a power dynamic for personal gain.

I have no opinion on the person here. I’m not knowledgeable to have one. I don’t know this lady. But I will say from my experience “abuse of power” can be a pretty nebulous claim these days.
Like the honeytrap purse “bribe”, an aid with a grudge can easily make this happen.
For example, “ma’am, I’m leaving…do you want me to drop that trash bag off for you?”
Suddenly she’s “demanding her aides dispose of food waste”
I used to let the dog out for our next door neighbor (a 3 star) who had a full time exec in his home. Asking the exec to open the door and let the dog out once a day could have been construed as “abuse of power”. And the papers would say he “made his aids take care of his animals”.
Basically it comes down to how much the people around you like you (or dislike you). And with everything as politically divided as it is, it’s next to impossible.
Not saying that’s what happened here, but that is how it goes.
Mike reminded me it doesn’t even require an aid with a grudge. All it would take is an outside observer noticing the aid taking outa bag of garbage.
The cat is out of the bag. Korean Thing is such an astute observer. IT figured the the USofA wants to take over EVERY country and turn it into a part of America. Apple pie, Chevrolets and two kinds of music (country and western) for the whole world!!! Still an asshat.
Everyone should slow down, read (or watch) Orwell’s Animal Farm, and remember confessions and humiliation is just how commies roll. This is not the result of a right-wing snitch. This was baked in from the start to create fear and obedience from others.
