He makes a good point. But he also failed to point out another important fact. South Korea provided the testing for the USFK personnel for the Coronavirus, and have answered the call from the US President for South Korea to send medical equipment aid including sending of coronavirus test kits. Yet the US military under Trump’s orders, is furloughing South Korean civilian workers working for the USFK.
And it’s not as if South Korea is wanting everything free, as often portrayed here.
In the negotiations, South Korea offered the US, 10% increase to USFK costs, as well as offering to pay for the entire salary of Korean civilians working for the USFK. The US side refused the offer and still insists on a 500% increase while chirping about ‘cooperation’. 🙂
