The past week has highlighted a more confident and capable Korean government under President Lee Jae-myung.

His administration’s approach to diplomacy and economic policy demonstrates a renewed sense of strategic competence and international credibility.

These developments suggest that Korea benefits when leadership emphasizes planning, expertise, and cooperative engagement in global affairs.

This is a good sign and it also shows that getting rid of the buffoon Yoon and his power mad and corrupt wife was a good thing for the Korean people.

Imagine Yoon trying to negotiate a trade agreement with Trump while navigating APEC diplomacy.

Knowing him and his minions, it would have been the worst APEC conference ever in addition to diplomatic gaffes that would have tarnished Korea’s global reputation. No doubt that we would have ended up with high tariffs because of the buffoonish Yoon.

Proof, that a smart leftist government should run Korea instead of a dumb right wing government.

Sorry, doomsayers. The trade war and crippling rare earth element shortages have been pushed back to 2026.

And the US had already forged agreements to obtain rare earth elements from other sources.

Always doom tomorrow, never doom today.

Lee is a fantastic negotiator!

In exchange for reducing crippling tariffs down to high tariffs, Korea is going to teach Americans all core Korean competencies…

…shipbuilding, semiconductors, automobiles, steel…

…and then pay for training and infrastructure…

…in America…

…for Americans.

With smart leftist governments, you don’t even need dumb right wing governments.

So, boys and girls, that concludes today’s lesson on globalists vs MAGA nationalists.

Globalism means standardization of components, procedures and regulations.

What do we have here?

ROK standardized regulations for components for ships built in the ROK, Australia and the USA.

To access the European market segment of NATO that means standardization of components and regulations to meet EU standards.

But this standardization of components and regulations has always been the case in the global naval ship industry since USS Chesapeake was captured from the USN on June 1, 1813 and commissioned into the Royal Navy as HMS Chesapeake.

It is the globalization of naval shipbuilding procedures that is the new twist in 2025.

Workers in the Hanwha Philly Shipyard (sic) will be building ships The Korean Way.

This is the inevitable outcome of the decision by the globalized mindset of the USA when it drafted the United Nations Command into the Korean War on July 7, 1959.

In the ensuing 75 years, the hereditary monarchy north of the 38th Parallel headed by Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong-il and Kim Jong-eun has resisted globalization and mostly played by itself with China and Russia occasionally lending a hand to provide a happy ending for those three kings.

That is the choice for the southern half of the Korean Peninsula.

Play by itself or be part of the globalized world.

Go Global or be ruled by kings.

On June 3, 2025 globalist Lee Jae-myoung was voted President of the ROK by 17, 287,513 citizens whilst Kim Moon-soo was supported by only 14,395,639 citizens.

“Globalism means standardization of components, procedures and regulations”

Anybody who would say that unironically thinks sèx means backing into a line of black men.

Don’t confuse a Japanese nut fitting a German bolt with flooding your country with illegal aliens to keep the price of labor down.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

CH, the “Workers in the Hanwha Philly Shipyard (sic)” our fellow traveler was so excited about will undoubtedly include many a “line of black men” for his backing pleasure…

Per Wikipedia:

As of the 2020 U.S. census, there were 1,603,797 people residing in Philadelphia, representing a 1.2% increase from the 2019 census estimate. The racial composition of the city was 39.3% Black alone (42.0% Black alone or in combination), 36.3% White alone (41.9% White alone or in combination), 8.7% Asian alone, 0.4% American Indian and Alaska Native alone, 8.7% some other race, and 6.9% multiracial. 14.9% of residents were Hispanic or Latino.

Better to be ruled by kings than get invaded by a never ending wave of migration.

Setnaffa, I was quite surprised to see there are more black people than white people in Philadelphia considering it was ranked the safest city in America with a population larger than 1 million.

Oh. Wait. I have the chart upside down.

It is the most dangerous.

Hopefully, Korea learn some lessons about diversity they can bring back to the motherland.

CH, the left has tattooed or engraved Cloward-Piven on their bitter, shriveled souls. I don’t look to them for any voluntary change. This is the origin of the “We had to destroy the country to save the country.”

They believe people dying as a result is along the lines of breaking eggs to make an omelet. That’s why 60+ Million dead Soviets under Stalin, 90+ Million dead under Mao, and close to 200 Million dead from Socialism in just the 20th Century is no big deal.

“But Trump made mean tweets.”

What do we have here?

Your MAGA War Secretary praised Lee administration’s efforts to retake OPCON, calling it “great”.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth positively assessed South Korea’s push to retake wartime operational control (OPCON) from the United States on Wednesday, calling it a “great” endeavor…..

“I think it’s great. The more capabilities of our allies the better. We’ve been strong allies for many, many decades. That has not changed,” the secretary said.

“I think South Korea is a great example of a combat credible partner who’s postured strongly, who has been a great host for our troops, but also wants to and should be increasingly willing to take the lead. It’s what we are asking of our partners in Europe to take the lead,” he said.

No doubt that and are regretting not voting for Kamala. At least with Kamala, OPCON would have stayed with the USFK and USFK would have remained in Korea forever.

Do you really believe this?

VP JD Beardo realizing that Hegseth and Noem have taken the lead in the race for the Whitest MAGA POTUS Candidate 2028, pitches up at LAX in an attempt to whiten his appeal to MAGA voters. He brings along a Murdoch Fox camera crew and his pet ferret Jesse Watters.

The first plane in that morning is from Tokyo.

A big Asiatic looking guy in a baseball cap is first in line as he is flying Seat 1A.

VP JD Beardo: Waal, looky here Jesse. We got us a prime candidate for incarceration in a cage for two weeks and deportation back to Ay-see-ah! Heh-heh.

Jesse Watters [Peter Lorre voice]: You know, JD, I have many a friend in Los Angeles, but somehow, just because you despise me, you are the only one I trust.

VP JD Beardo: Security! Detain that tall Asiatic guy in the baseball cap!

Jesse Watters: Hey you! Take off that cap and show some ree-spekt! To the Vice President of the You-Ess-Ay!

VP JD Beardo: Heh, heh. Faking you know anything about baseball boy!

Jesse Watters: You ain’t good enuff to enter the Yoo-Ess-Ay to polish mah shoes! Heh, heh. [Peers at luggage tag] Meester Shohei Ohtani!

Korea Thing: Stephen Edition,

Here are some tips to help you up your game.

– effective communication is more than proper nouns you don’t like mixed with verbs you think are bad

– real humor must speak some sort of truth

– isolation followed by self-reflection rather than drawing attention is the best way to manage chronic substance abuse, especially inhalents

… inhalent …

Here’s a tip. Of course, unlike you, I don’t know how it’s spelt in Cyrillic but when I was at school it was spelt inhalant.

“Here’s a tip. Of course, unlike you, I don’t know how it’s spelt in Cyrillic but when I was at school it was spelt inhalant.”

Awwww… there, their, they’re, my little spelling Nazi.

If you look more closely, you will find almost everything I write these days has a spelling mistake or a small incorrect word.

There is no accomplishment in pointing this out.

But there might be if you could figure out why.

Escape from New York is about to not be fiction.
Never seen anything like this.

Read that almost ten percent of NY city residents intend to move if the commie is elected. And it looks like that will happen (between requiring no identification and his name twice on the ballot). This is a very very interesting time in US history.
I’m torn between being excited to watch this happen, and terrified to watch it happen.
I do wonder where those residents plan on moving. Can’t all move to Florida or Texas, can they? It’s almost a million people.

“his name twice on the ballot”

Once for the communist and once for the Muslim.

…and we laughed at London.

I’m reminded of the communists who rallied to overthrow the Shah and support Khomeini. Who then executed 30,000 of them (the ones who didn’t escape the government they’d brought into place).
Of course, NY city is just one city. An important one though.

Liz, he is not a commie.

He is a “Democratic Socialist”

He won’t seize the means of production but he will tax it into oblivion and redistribute the proceeds to those who cannot or will not produce.

Bonus: Everything he is promising New Yorkers has been tried and has failed miserably… social workers instead of police, government grocery stores, rent controls, free public transportation, etc. It doesn’t work becasue it cannot work.

Aristotle, Polibius, and Cicero all said democracies/republics declined when the leaders find they can buy their position with public money (or the promise of it).

In modern times, Alexis de Tocqueville wrote specifically about it “Democracy in America”.

So did pretty much every founding father.

But people are corrupt or stupid.

It is quite delightful this commie Muslim was elected and immediately declared war on Trump.

New Yorkers deserve what they want.

Read this today:
“Since NYC is about to elect a jihadi, communist mayor and Hamas is on our college campuses, does it really matter if I carry more than 3.4oz of mouthwash
onto an airplane?”

Good point.

Does it matter that I carry 15+1 in a Glock 19 with a burning hatred of anyone who tries to push their mental illness off on me?
