Prosecutors Seek Death Penalty for Laced Drink Killer
Considering how calculating her murders were it would seem she would deserve the death penalty:

Prosecutors on Tuesday sought the death penalty for a woman accused of killing two men and injuring four others by giving them laced drinks.
Kim So-young faces charges of giving drinks spiked with benzodiazepine, a depressant, to three men between December 2025 and February this year. Two died, while one recovered.
She faces additional charges of causing bodily injury to three more men using similar methods.
The prosecution requested the Seoul Northern District Court to sentence her to death during the final hearing of her trial.
Kim has claimed that she handed the drinks to stop the men from touching her.

That’s why when i meet a girl in a bar, i lace her drink first.
You gotta get the drop on them.
AI says:
This happened in Seoul, mainly in Gangbuk-gu (강북구), particularly the Suyu-dong (수유동) area. Korean reports call it the “Gangbuk motel serial murder case” (강북 모텔 연쇄살인 사건).
The accused is Kim So-young (김소영), age 20. Prosecutors asked the Seoul Northern District Court on August 18 for the death penalty, plus 30 years of electronic monitoring, alleging she killed two men and injured four others by giving them drinks containing benzodiazepines.
The case is considerably more extensive than the short English Yonhap article makes it sound:
Investigators say the relevant incidents ran roughly from October/December 2025 through February 2026.
The central murder allegations involve three men in their 20s given benzodiazepine-laced drinks. Two died and one survived/was seriously incapacitated.
Police later identified three additional alleged victims, bringing the prosecution’s claimed toll to 2 dead and 4 injured. Some encounters occurred not only in Gangbuk-gu but also in Seocho-gu.
One of the fatal incidents occurred in a motel in Suyu-dong, Gangbuk-gu, on February 9, 2026. Police arrested Kim near her residence the following day and reportedly seized psychiatric drugs, empty hangover-drink bottles and her phone.
Prosecutors say the victims were men who had expressed romantic/sexual interest in her and allege she exploited them while they were vulnerable. Kim’s defense is that she gave them the drugged drinks to prevent unwanted physical contact, and she disputes an intent to kill.
A particularly important piece of the prosecution case is reportedly her ChatGPT history. Prosecutors introduced records showing queries concerning whether excessive sleeping-pill consumption or combining the drugs with alcohol could cause death. Kim said she did not remember making the specific queries.
So geographically, think northern Seoul, Gangbuk-gu/Suyu, rather than somewhere outside Seoul.
One interesting detail is that the Yonhap English article says merely “SEOUL” and never identifies Gangbuk-gu, while the Korean coverage makes the location quite explicit.
Gangbuk-gu is up by the Robot and AI museum…
Sounds like some folks never learned not to insert Normal Tab A into Crazy Slot B. The eyes never lie.
You know at least one of those poor bastards was thinking “I can fix her.”
