Couple Who Abandoned Two Biracial Babies Sentenced by Korean Court
This criminal case is just totally bizarre, basically some woman keeps getting pregnant by some foreign guy and keeps convincing her Korean husband the kid is his. This guy appears to be the ultimate simp:
A Korean couple who abandoned two infants nearly two decades ago because they “looked like foreigners” received suspended prison sentences, according to legal circles Sunday.
The Uijeongbu District Court sentenced the mother to 18 months in prison, suspended for three years, for violating the Child Welfare Act. Her husband was sentenced to one year in prison, suspended for three years, for the same charge.
According to the court, the woman gave birth to her first child in 2005 while living with the man in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province.
The man, who believed throughout the pregnancy that he was the child’s biological father, realized after the birth that the baby was biracial. Concluding the child was not his, he decided to abandon the infant, and the mother complied.
The couple left the newborn on the doorstep of an orphanage in northern Gyeonggi Province less than a month after the birth.
The two reunited in 2008. The woman was pregnant with another child fathered by a foreign man, but the man once again believed he was the biological father.
After the couple legally married, the woman gave birth in a makeshift shed on a farm owned by the man’s parents. They raised the child for about a year.
As the child grew older, however, the man again realized the child was not biologically his.
Fearing confrontation, the woman fled in March 2009, leaving the child behind. The man subsequently abandoned the second child at the doorstep of the same orphanage.

For @setnaffa and the Setnaffarians, their biggest challenge seems to be Koreans who present logical, evidence-based arguments.
They rarely offer substantive counterarguments to the points being made.
Instead, as their arguments weaken, the personal attacks seem to escalate.

I have even witnessed someone attempt to engage them with polite conversation, ask for their honest opinion or vision of a perfect world, only for them to dismiss the person as a bot and refuse to have a civilized back and forth.

The problem, as you’ve seen with the Babylon Bee is that sarcasm sounds exactly like what they spew.
Apologies for not differentiating the different effluents. My sinuses started acting up and my sense of smell was affected. Should be okay on the weekend though.
All good. I was referring to one of my early interactions with one of them. I genuinely tried to hear them out and they dismissed me as a bot not worthy of hearing their world view.
It’s easy to find problems and criticize. Its more difficult to propose solutions.

Playing the victim is a classic Setnaffarian tactic whenever they’re confronted with facts they can’t refute.
A couple of points:
If Johnnybot has really been around that long, he’d know this all started when the Setnaffarians began labeling Koreans—and anyone who rejected their ideology or conspiracy theories—as “Chinabots.”
Given that history, it’s hardly surprising that some people now respond by calling them “Russiabots” or simply “bots.” It’s a taste of their own medicine.
What’s also telling is that, when confronted, Setnaffarians like Johnnybot suddenly portray themselves as innocent victims, as though they had nothing to do with creating this atmosphere in the first place.
Meanwhile, they continue pushing the same illogical right-wing talking points.
The labels may have changed—some now use “Korea Things,” while their ally @GIKorea sticks with “50 Cent Army”—but the pattern remains the same.
So, Johnnybot, if you want people to take you seriously, try responding with reason and logic instead of playing the victim and spewing right wing talking points.
You still remind me of that Drago character. The only difference is that you’ve managed to outlast him. Your rhetoric and approach, however, remain just as recognizable.

There was no confrontation. I asked you what you would like to see, or your ideal scenario for Korea.
You said I was a bot and I wasn’t worth your time. No facts followed because no conversation followed. You didn’t confront me with anything.

No, it started when there was a clear pattern of promoting narratives and misinformation that were damaging to Korea and aligned with Chinese interests.
