Educated people call this “negotiation”.
Eventually, it will be time to give Taiwan to the Chinese.
Until then, it needs to be made very expensive for the Chinese or America needs to get something out of not making it too expensive.
Trump is working this out from a superior negotiating position.

Seoul Central District Court has sentenced Yoon Suk-yeol to life in prison.
The court also sentenced former Defense Minister Kim to 30 years in prison for his “deep” involvement in the insurrection.

Everyone makes a big deal of suddenly noticing the Prince Formerly Known as Andrew has enjoyed power and money in the same way many others are enjoying power and money.
King Charles’ posturing gives the appearance of royal power and decisive action from the moral high ground.
But it signals the end of the weak and powerless royal family meekly watching the destruction of their nation while trying to stay relevant.
Queen Elizabeth was a fantastic monarch until the end when she sat speechless as globalist politicians methodically destroyed the country.
Her absolute failure as a mother produced horrid children. Charles is not neutrally powerless like his mother but actually part of the problem.
The royal family has failed to protect the nation and their distraction has been to make Andrew move from a sprawling mansion to a sprawling “cottage”.
Now Andrew has been arrested, presumably over leaking classified information rather than doing much less than overlooked grooming gangs do every day.
England serves as a warning.

Can’t imagine how much it costs to heat those old estates/castles.
An acquaintance installs insulation in some of those old mansions in the UK. He said people move there and think they are getting a steal when they buy the old houses, and usually fit renovations into their calculations but they don’t think about how much money it takes to heat a home that has virtually no insulation, which adds an average of 5k a MONTH to the cost (according to him).

…I always appreciate a good rant about California sucking but have to still call this mostly fake, since he moved to Manhattan.
He is above the law (tax wise). Much like Babs Streisand, for whom the entire airline industry tip toes around, making special rules to keep her personal home nice and quiet.
