Celebrating America by giving out cash representing the year of America’s birth is excellent symbolism.
In the Christmas spirit, I did the exact same thing for the many people I know.
I gave everyone cash representing the year Jesus was born.
Send me your bank information and I will do the same for you.
Merry Christmas!

Well shit, we’re going to war.

Good move politically, but that was money already allocated for housing. So the troops were going to get that money anyway, but monthly instead of one lump sum. Having said that, I’m sure most of them are much happier with a big check right before the holidays.

“that was money already allocated for housing. So the troops were going to get that money anyway, but monthly instead of one lump sum.”
How does that work exactly? They’re not going to withhold housing allowance.
I’m honestly curious.
@Liz, the $1,776 is going to be added to a serviceoembber’s existing BAH. This allows it to be distributed tax free through the military pay system. For those who don’t receive BAH it will show up on their LES as BAH for the month of December only. Hopefully this helps .

“The funding for the initiative will be taken from a large pool of money allocated in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that was signed into law in July, according to the Trump administration.
A provision of that legislation included $2.9 billion to “supplement the basic allowance for housing payable to members of the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, and Space Force.”
“The Secretary of War directed the Department to use some of the Basic Allowance for Housing funds to provide a one-time payment to service members during this holiday season to help improve their housing and quality of life,” a Pentagon official told DefenseScoop, using an alternative name authorized by Trump to refer to the secretary of defense.
“The remaining $300 million will be utilized by the Department to support future BAH requirements,” they added.”

Setnaffa, you really need to get your news and facts from other sources besides OAN, Newsmax, and YouTube.
What I posted has been reported by numerous outlets, I didn’t make it up. Google is your friend. Have a blessed day.

There is going to be an over 4 percent increase in BAH in the new year. I’m still not sure how this adversely impacts anything.
Funding is kind of weird…for example at our last base funds for fixing the dorms was taken from FSS (Force support squadron) money. For background: FSS was grouped into Morale, Welfare & Recreation Fund a while back, with 3 separate categories of funding to include “the war-fighting mission” (which authorizes 100 percent of appropriated fund support), “community and military families”, with 50 percent APF support), “sustain and maintain quality of life”, authorized minimal APF support… have to generate NAF dollars to cover their expenses (a lot of those activities had to shut down permanently after sequestration about ten years back).

Stop complaining about the troops getting a year-end bonus, Jody.

Just because “news” comes from numerous sources doesn’t mean it is correct. All the legacy faux news share fake stories among themselves and then site each other’s stories to try and show it is factual.
Once again the only reason the $1,776 bonus is coming out of BAH is to avoid it being taxed. If DOD just gave everyone that money as a typical bonus then it would be subject to taxation. The BAH route is a way to avoid the bonus being taxed. I wish they would do that to the bonus Soldiers receive when they reenlist.

Stop complaining about the troops getting a year-end bonus, Jody
LOL, where was I complaining? I’m all for it but I was pointing out that it wasn’t some tariff dividend as was first reported by the WH (which they quickly backtracked on once the real source of the funds was reported) but a reappropriation of already existing funds that the military was going to get all along. So again, a good political move, and a good deal for the troops.
But let’s talk. You claim to be a “Christian”, you know, always quoting Bible verses and all but as an alleged “Christian”, you proudly and gleefully support a man who:
Bragged about grabbing women’s p%ssies
Cheated on every one of his wives to include the current one.
Had an affair with a porn star and paid her off to keep quiet.
Was best buds with one of the biggest pedophiles in recent history and, well, if they ever take the black sharpie off the docs, we may find out more.
Was accused by twenty-seven women of sexual misconduct, and found liable by a jury in a civil case of sexually abusing E. Jean Carroll.
Has zero respect for women (“quiet piggy” “You’re ugly” “You’re stupid” etc.)
I could go on and on but if you agree with and applaud the above then you may not be the “Christian” you think you are. Say, one of these folks wasn’t you, was it?

As not a Christian (though an ally) allow me answer these questions.
– Bragged about grabbing women’s p%ssies
He bragged about women LETTING you grab them by the pussy if you are a star. He braggeed about kissing a woman. He didn’t actually ever say he grabed any women by the pussy. You don’t really know what he said because you only repeat what you are told like a good stooge.
– Cheated on every one of his wives to include the current one.
Meh. Not my business. Not yours either. He was apparently a great father and he seems to have raised kids that aren’t druggies and misfits.
– Had an affair with a porn star and paid her off to keep quiet.
Maybe, maybe not. So what if he fùcked a porn star. Paying a ho to open her legs or shut her mouth is again nobody’s business.
– Was best buds with one of the biggest pedophiles in recent history
Keep going… you are almost there… “until Epstein got busted and he not only dropped him like a hot potato but was the only person to publicly move against him.”.
– and, well, if they ever take the black sharpie off the docs, we may find out more.
Hahaha! Yes we will. But we will find nothing on Trump because if there was anything, 4 years of Biden and the NeverTrump Deep State would have leaked it years ago.
All the people making a stink about the Epstein Files have no idea what is going on. It is likely better to keep them secret for a while. But don’t be surprised it Trump releases it just before slipping out of office.
What is in the files that needs blacked out?
– Flight logs (already public for years)
– Epstein’s contact lists (names ≠ crimes)
– Sealed court filings (defamation risk)
– Victim testimony (some anonymized, some contradictory)
– Intelligence-tainted material (Epstein clearly intersected with intelligence services)
But there is no “Epstein List”.
This matters because “release it” is not one button.
Any release exposes:
– Innocent people
– Victims
– Ongoing investigations
– And potentially intelligence methods
That probably needs to be blacked out.
But most importantly, Epstein’s network overlapped heavily with:
– Governments
– Wall Street
– Academia
– Politicians
– Intelligence-adjacent NGOs
– Foreign elites
Epstein intersected a lot of powerful systems and exposing everyone involved might cause a lot of trouble in every segment of society.
A pessimist might say that Trump is protecting these guys.
But that’s not how Trump operates.
Trump sees politics (and everything else) transactionally.
If he learned major donors, media figures, foreign power brokers, NeverTrumpers, etc., are implicated (even reputationally), then information becomes power, not justice.
Destroying leverage is irrational in that mindset.
This fits Trump’s historical behavior very well.
Note: Bill Gates has certainly shut the fùck up. There is a list of NeverTrumpers that have become quite docile who have links to Epstein.
Epstein almost certainly functioned as a kompromat hub, possibly with foreign intelligence overlap.
If Trump was warned that release could harm national security or expose intelligence operations he might back off reluctantly and messily.
This would also explain the awkward, inconsistent handling of the situation.
Every president walks into the office thinking “sunlight”. Every president walks out thinking “containment”.
Let’s see what he does just before leaving office.
– Was accused by twenty-seven women of sexual misconduct,
A billionaire surrounded by women with their hands out? Shocking, I say.
– and found liable by a jury in a civil case of sexually abusing E. Jean Carroll.
Ah, yes, she remebered that 23 or 24 years later… she has given conflicting stories on the year. The law was changed so this lawsuit could happen. This was shady at every level.
– Has zero respect for women (“quiet piggy” “You’re ugly” “You’re stupid” etc.)
Quite the contrary. Trump has shown great respect to beautiful women and competent women.
I found this to be highly inspiring.
