The press corp had a certain type of destructive anti-American freedom that they no longer have.
They were able to roam the halls of the Pentagon shamelessly and ipenly asking everyone to anonymously share juicy gossip with the mutual benefit of sensational stories and furthering personal agendas and grievances.
The undermining of America and its military was not a side effect. In many cases, it was a goal.
Now, they will have to dig under the fence instead of living in the henhouse.

Bolton is a tool. His roll is purely performative.
When you need the enemy to think the chickenhawks are in power and will kick some à ss, as Trump did his first term, you hire Boltan and he serves his purpose.
When the enemy relizes it is better to be cozy than confrontational, you remove Boltan and start making deals.

The problem is Bolton didn’t know his place. He took his firing personally and then went after Trump for no larger gain or purpose.
After the (perhaps fraudulent) 2020 election, Trump had 4 years to identify loyal people and design programs that forwarded his goals.
Boltan made himself an enemy for no reason beyond personal vanity… so he was not part of this… a damaged, rusty tool with a sharp handle.
Now, he gets punished for doing the things the NeverTrumpers accused Trump of (which he didn’t do, but they did).

Could also be a tactic to persuade Bolton to “flip” and turn on the Deep State? Read that theory somewhere. I’m sure his lawyer is asking to make a deal. He might have some information.
Getting Bolton is good, but much house cleaning is needed. Recall Milley to active service and court martial him along with all the generals who undermined the chain of command.

(I don’t want to unfriend people I’ve known since childhood, but I really wish our boys didn’t need my FB account to play the Oculus. Looked up some old friends recently to see how they were doing. Oh my.
One former friend thinks the WWII generation would be “outraged” to see the “current fascism” and proposes lots of singing and dancing and costume wearing to fight fascism like those WWII veterans did. It’s honestly too stupid to believe.

Liz, I just met someone I have not seen since highschool (and his wife). He was a pretty good guy from a good family.
To test their politics, I laid a trap… some discrete Trump flair, “accidently exposed”… but depending on your ability to project, it could be interpreted as pro-Trump or anti-Trump.
All was well for 30 minutes until they saw it.
His wife suddenly made a horrid contorted face and hissed, “You aren’t one of those Trump supporters, are you?” Seriously. Her entire demeanor changed to something other than human.
“Oh gosh, I don’t even follow American politics. Somebody gave it to me. I don’t even know what it means. Do you want it?”
Once they determinded I wasn’t one of those MAGA Nazi fascist racist pervertphobes, everything went back to normal as if nothing ever happened.
I sooooo wanted to ask some leading questions… as I really know nothing of Trump and I am curious what he is doing that is so bad.
…but I know irrational people won’t change their mind when led to the obvious conclusion that their political life is a lie. They will get angry and then shut down and the night will end and they will forever thing I am a bad and stupid guy.
So we talked about their kids and where they like to vacation and golf handicaps.
Something is wrong with a large percentage of people.

CH, the thing that you recognize as wrong is described in Chapter 1 of Paul’s letter to the Romans in verses 18-32. And it afflicts more than just leftists and globalists.
