ROK Unification Minister Says North Korea is One of Three Countries that Can Strike the U.S. Mainland

Chung actually seems giddy to be declaring that North Korea can strike the U.S. mainland with their ICBMs:

Unification Minister Chung Dong-young has said North Korea is capable of hitting the U.S. mainland, apparently referring to the North’s recent development of its intercontinental ballistic missiles, in rare public remarks about Pyongyang’s weapons capability.

Chung made the remarks at a press conference in Berlin on Monday (local time) during his ongoing visit to Germany as South Korea’s representative to attend a ceremony marking German unification.

“North Korea has become one of the three countries capable of attacking the U.S. mainland,” Chung told reporters. “What needs to be acknowledged should be acknowledged rationally.”

You can read more at the link, but North Korea’s ICBMs are not fully tested yet with many questions about their reentry systems. Additionally even if they do work they would have to overcome U.S. missile defenses as well.

Unification Minister Chung Dong-young sounds like Pyongyang’s man all right…

It’s obvious what’s happening here. Warmongers like and —who cheered when Bolton sabotaged the Hanoi accords—are now trying to pin the blame on their favorite scapegoat, Chung Dong-yong.

The reality is simple: they’re deflecting to shield their own side and their paymaster, Russia.

Let’s not forget—it was John Bolton who torpedoed the talks. Because of his obstruction, no agreement was reached, and North Korea eventually turned toward Russia.

Trump is highly transactional with violence used only if a deal cannot be forged…

…and as a backup plan to encourage making a deal.

Bolton’s first, and only tool, is military force.

This is why Trump fired Bolton.

The Trumpers seem to outnumber the Boltonites here.

Nobody likes Bolton.

As always, everything you say is nonsense.

So let me get this straight…the reunification minister is now commenting on military tech of a country notorious for misinformation? Call me skeptical, but he’s looking for intel on the Nork’s intercontinental missile capabilities instead of trying to rebuild Kaesong or something? Or does he simply use the same dartboard the KIA uses to guess about events in Norkistan?
