Hmmm.
– send lame drone wave
– military microwave emitter knocks them down, as Faraday-style shielding
won’t work for several reasons.
– the really big drone loitering in the back has now located the source of the microwaves and calculated its vector
– the big drone drops its motors, fires its built-in rocket, and makes any necessary course corrections until its electronics get fried… at which point it mechanically defaults to its last known target with a warhead big enough to take care of business
– send not-lame drone wave

I hear you CH; but TEMU isn’t using that level of tech yet; and there are other defenses than microwaves. Big enough to do as you suggest (and assuming the crews don’t drain the ethanol fuel and replace with water) is big enough to target with SM-2 or Patriot or the like. And as we saw in Israel, anti-missile lasers are incoming.
I’m thinking mass drone attacks are no longer a cheap alternative.
