The world is going to ignore well-read white males with musical skills and go find a group of mumbletrappers to run train on them?

Oh, CH, it will be far worse than that.

Revelation 9:3-12, NIV:

And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.

The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. Their hair was like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. They had tails with stingers, like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer).

The first woe is past; two other woes are yet to come.

Setnaffa, now we have to decide if that is a drone swarm with nonleathal weapons or a metaphor for all the idiocy and unrest that Korea Things and other libtards are always pushing.

The only dealbreaker here is to avoid this, you have to be marked. I know it is God’s mark… but still… somebody will notice and use that against me.

In fact, just a couple chapters later, that is exactly what happens.

This is how the US repays people for helping the US.

The point is, CH, everyone gets a mark.

Those marked by God live forever with Him in Paradise. Those with “the mark of the beast” end up in eternal torment. The Bible describes it as being thrown into a lake of fire that never stops burning.

2 Corinthians 4:17 ESV reminds us: “… this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison…”

The people in Corinth to whom Paul wrote were under persecution from many sources, and many were beaten, imprisoned, and even killed bor being a Christian.

I wish everyone who reads this would ask God to save them (see Romans 10:13 for why).

American right-wing White-Christian nationalists are pushing the biblical end-of-the-world rapture. They claim to be followers of Jesus, but when it comes to love for fellow humanity, they are the exact opposite of love. They are so cruel and hateful, and behave in the opposite of what Jesus taught in the Bible. Growing up with such evangelical Christian theology, I’ve known enough of these kinds of Korean people who act the same as those Southern US Christians – they are some of the most horrible, uncouth, immoral, and hypocritical people I’ve ever had the displeasure to know.

Pray harder, setnaffa. See if you can get into the kingdom of God. You can claim you love God so much, but Jesus will say he doesn’t know you.

Setnaffa, this is where the bible breaks down.

Me and the Unibomber aren’t getting any marks. And neither should anybody sensible.

Have Christians learned nothing from history?

Korea Thing, Christians preach End of Days through tribulations and raptures. Maybe true, maybe false. I don’t know.

Leftards preach End of Days throuh global warming. Clearly a religion for dummies as it is demonstratably false.

So, hate on Christianity all you want but remember, whatever you say about it applies even more to whatever nonsense goes on in your head.

Bonus: Christianity is fundamentally a nice philosophy… minus the minority of Christian busybodies trying to tell me what to do.

The philosophy of the left is based on telling me what to do… as no sensible person would have anything to do with it except by force.

My experience with organized Christianity showed me large sections of it are filled with predators at the top and tools at the bottom, just like the left. The difference is, most of those at the bottom were well-meaning, even if misguided.

Christians with a more personal relationship with God are generally very good people.

Leftists with a personal relationship with leftist ideals are generally even bigger idiots than those who clump together.

Galatians 5:1 tells us, “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”

The rest of the chapter describes how to use that freedom, and what we should avoid. Not a list of “do’s and don’t’s”, more like a field guide telling us the difference between healthy and harmful foods.

People with God’s mark should be like verses 22 and 23, “…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…”

And thus ends the advice column.
