The main opposition Democratic Party (DP) plans to propose legislation providing cash handouts of 250,000 won (US$184) to the entire population as its first bill of the new National Assembly set to open later this month, its new floor leader said Monday.

Rep. Park Chan-dae unveiled the plan in a radio interview with local broadcaster MBC after DP leader Lee Jae-myung asked President Yoon Suk Yeol last Monday to accept his election pledge for the cash handouts as a way to help restore the people’s livelihoods.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.”

– Alexander Fraser Tytler

Promising public funds to buy votes is an established way to get into power for those seeking to skim national wealth… who realize the majority of their voters are stupid, short-sighted, and understand only instant-gratification.

Liberals are a cesspit of idiots led by predators.

The question now is if the majority of Korean voters are smart enough to see through this.

Vote-buying like this should not only be illegal in the same way as conspiracy to commit robbery, but due to its existential nature, the punishment for suggesting it should be somewhere between conspiracy to commit fist degree murder and treason.

That $184 will cost each recipient at least $5,000. All government programs and NGOs are notorious for stealing, wasting, losing, and misdirecting money.

What about the right-wingers?

Right-wing politicians are often criticized for their policies that involve cutting taxes, especially those that benefit wealthy individuals or corporations.

Additionally, they have a reputation for supporting military interventions and funding large-scale projects that also tend to benefit their wealthy allies.

These policies, coupled with reduced tax revenue, can lead to significant budget deficits and increased national debt.

I think the word you were looking for was “had,” not “have.”

The last president was so right-wing he was like an orange Hitler, didn’t support military interventions like lefty Obama and Biden.

You forget George W. Bush, Cheney and Bolton who needlessly invaded Iraq and created the biggest mess in the history of the United States.

Need I remind you that Bolton also helped destroy any chances of peace in the Korean peninsula.

There’s also Reaganomics.

My first thought was, as English is clearly not your first language, you are still confused with have and had.

But then I realized, while he ran on the Republican ticket, Trump is not a Republican.

You seem right.

Upon consideration, Republicans are warmongers and pretty terrible people… and their economic policies are designed so I can’t get any.

Democrats are also warmongers and pretty terrible people… and their economic policies are designed to take any I have.

There is a lesson in here somewhere about thinking your team is the best and the other team sucks.

Ah yes.

Misinformation and racism.

The hallmarks of the Setnaffarians.

So you ARE still confused with “had” and “have” due to your poor language skills. Sorry for the misinformation.

As for racism, the Republican party is much more inclusive… black, brown, yellow… and orange.
