And China can’t afford, for example, [insert enemy nation here] to declare open season for subs to sink oil tankers headed from the Gulf to China.
They don’t have the escort ships to prevent that or the personnel to crew them.
And their infrastructure is a very serious, nearly existential risk at the moment. They don’t have the land to farm to feed themselves or the people trained to do the needful.

Maybe they should follow Korea and HAVE MOAR BABBYS.
