Many Japanese people, including people I know, aren’t happy with the choice of Miss Japan. If people keep assessing Japaneseness based on roots and see only those with pure Japanese blood as their own, instead of embracing multiculturalism, Japan will run out of Japanese people.

Embracing multiculturalism is EXACTLY how to run out of Japanese people.
Acceptance of non-Japanese who grew up in Japan and act/think Japanese but don’t look Japanese is a very different issue that has valid aspects of racism and valid aspects of culturalism.
But “embracing multiculturalism” is better done selectively…
…though, now that I think about it…
If only Africa had embraced the multiculturalism of their colonizers, they wouldn’t be… well… Africa.
I am FOR embracing multiculturalism…

“Magdalena” probably just needs to check her white privilege and stop whitesplaining to people of color.
Plus her ideas of so-called “clean energy” are not carbon-neutral, do not produce reliable energy, kill birds and sea life, and would benefit the nose-picking, coal-burning CCP more than anyone else, particularly Japan.
