Condolences to family and friends

When I first read this, it seemed terrible.

But then I looked at the picture and realized this piece of shìt had it coming.

Harsh?

Let me explain.

This ásshole is driving in traffic on his slow e-bike while wearing clothes the military has spent many decades and millions of dollars refining to not be seen.

Success!

Setnaffa, you had one legitimate chance to ask where his reflective belt/vest is and you missed it.

Bonus: When the accident happened, he was in the left lane and it was dark. You don’t need to call the Psychic Friends Hotline to guess the outcome.

I feel especially strongly about this because it almost happened to me. I would have been life-long screwed if I hadn’t been paying close attention combined with some luck… all because some uniformed Korean solder felt he could drive his bicycle in the road with no lights through a dark area.

(I also once almost hit an old man on an old black unlit bicycle in a black coat who would drive across an unlit bridge in the darkness of winter (with a No Bicycles Allowed sign) during morning rush hour every day. The car in front of me didn’t see him and swerved at the last minute. I did the same. I started using the middle lane and would pass him almost every day for about a month. Then one day, there was white spray paint in the shape of a bicycle in the darkest part of the bridge. And I saw him no more.)

These people are too stupid to live… or too sociopathic and completely lacking empathy. (Prison interviews almost always find an inability to understand a situation from someone else’s point of view). Either way, good riddance. These traits negatively affect everyone around them even when there is no driving involved.

The problem here is that they take someone else’s life when they go… death, injury, guilt, financial ruin, complete life disruption.

So this idiot or sociopath needed to be removed from society because he is clearly a poor influence. Sadly, it wasn’t a one-scooter accident and someone innocent has to pay for his uncaring mistake.

Your pity should be with the poor person driving the minivan.

CH, I chose not to bring up the reflective belt because every officer knows that reflective belts save lives, and thus this appeared to be self-inflicted.

One more observation.

The Camo Captain in the picture is not on the side of the road where people can go around.

He is in the middle of the road ensuring everyone goes his speed.

He is one of those.

Almost certainly there is more to the story about him losing his on-post driving privileges.

Here is the scene of the accident.

Night. Dark road. Black e-bike. Camo. Driving in the left lame.

It was a senseless death.

But not for the reasons being expressed.
