A South Korean passenger jet carrying dozens of citizens is set to return home from Israel, the foreign ministry said Tuesday, after violence erupted between Israel and Palestinian Islamist group Hamas.

The Korean Air Co. flight carrying 214 passengers, including 192 Korean nationals, departed from Tel Aviv at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday (local time) and is expected to arrive at Incheon International Airport, west of Seoul, at around 6:10 a.m. on Wednesday.

It will be the first flight to transport South Koreans back home since tensions quickly escalated in the region after Hamas militants launched a surprise attack on Israel over the weekend.

Setnaffa, after the Jews, Koreans are God’s chosen people. I was told that in a Korean church. Who am I to question?

I am now wondering if I need citizenship to get chosen or if I can get by on a tourist visa.

Korea Man, Setnaffa’s question is valid. If you look past the setup, the next question is, “So how many refugees does Korea need to accept?”

Hint: zero

CH, that was precisely my question.

Because Itaewon isn’t entirely Islamic yet. In 2007, There were more Muslims than all other demographics combined at the Crown Hotel in October. Now Hooker Hill is Halal.

Halloween might really be lit this year…

Setnaffa, after the Jews, Koreans are God’s chosen people

That tells me what type of crowds you’ve been hanging around to shape all your warped views.

Because the only Koreans who believe that are the Extremist Christian Right Protestants – Yoon’s party supporters who are mostly 80+-year-olds almost dead zombies, gathering in streets with American and Israeli flags, screaming hate-filled messages on amplifier megaphones, “Let’s clean Korea of all commies!”. They are basically sick uneducated illiterate old people who are still living in the past, as in 1950 Korea. It’s no wonder about your right-wing-filled rants.

It’s deplorable to see Hamas massacre innocent Israeli civilians. Only animals could behead the babies, and I really hope Hamas can be liquidated as that’s what they deserve. However, this doesn’t excuse the behavior of Israel’s extreme right-wing governments now and in the past, which caused the conditions and the right environment for such terror organizations like Hamas to grow in the Gaza Strip, which is basically an open prison for the 2 million Palestinians. The amount of abuses that those Palestinians were subjected to, including all the illegal expansions of Israeli settlements, all point to the fact that nobody should be shocked at these events.

The theme is pretty common in extreme Rightism, and that includes Israel. Israel’s far-right government behaving like the far-right Yoon government have one thing in common – incompetence due to purges of competent people in the government, the intelligence, and the military. Like the Yoon government, Israel’s right-wing government of Netanyahu, purged his own competent people accusing them of being left-wing commies. The result is this spectacular intelligence failure due to the fact that there was no one competent left to run their intelligence agency. This is a failure that also warns South Korea of the consequences of letting right-wing politics dictate personnel appointments and firings of important government positions.

You know it’s too bad, but both the Arabs and Israelis are hard people who don’t share nor believe in Setnaffa’s religion of forgiveness. Both the Jews and Arabs are people who only believe in the eye for an eye. The only way for this thousand-year-old conflict to end is for one side to liquidate the other side which is unfortunate but a reality. As long as they both exist, there will be violent conflicts. I don’t think anybody would disagree with that. The best way to handle this is to just stay out and let them deal with this themselves.

Arabs vs Jews?

How about Russians vs Uzbeks in South Korea? Mass violent group fighting at a camping ground over an argument. Too funny.

Korea Man, I spent a period going to many “churches” in Korea.

By church, I mean “cult somewhat based on Christianity”.

It was an interesting experience.

I’m not sure “hang out” is the right description of our relationship and, while it shaped my views, it didn’t do so in the way you are implying.

‘“Let’s clean Korea of all commies!”. They are basically sick uneducated illiterate old people who are still living in the past, as in 1950 Korea.’

Wait… last I checked, the the situation up north is pretty much the same as 1950 and commies are still up to no good. Wanting to clean Korea of commies is not “living in the past”. It’s more of a work in progress.

Well, at least you recognize that peace will only come after Palistinian genocide…

…followed by Jewish genocide…

…followed by Muslim genocide…

…etc.

(And make room for communist genocide.)

You insightfully recognize there can be no real peace with eye-for-an-eye religions, so one must go.

Setnaffa: Is “turn the other cheek” in Christianity actually about accepting slights without retaliation rather than putting the gun away and passively accepting the group of ferals about to run train on your daughter?

Korean Man… FYI…

The Ooozebeks are a different type of person.

They are not exactly bad… but they are not exactly good… more of a chaotic neutral.

You need to deal with them a certain way…

…or you might end up with a fat lip… through no real fault of your own.

Alcohol heightens this effect.

The only ones more chaotic are the Buryats.

Come to think of it, Iranians are pure chaos as well… but they are clever plotters and the chaos doesn’t revolve around punching someone’s face in after a half bottle of firewater.

Good luck.

Turn the other cheek is about accepting insults to yourself, not accepting oppression of others we can defend.

The chinabots make me wonder if maybe it was CCP or ISIS agents that precipitated the tragedy in Itaewon.

Certain folks rush to blame Yoon, who could not legally have stopped the crowds from gathering, but I wonder if it was not planned in advance.

As I stated earlier, I refused to use that narrow alley even when there were no crowds. Maybe someone who hates South Korea’s wealth and civil liberties arranged the “accident” on purpose.

Something to consider…
