President Biden Will Not Ask President Yoon to Provide Military Aid to Ukraine During Summit

It looks like South Korea will not be providing any lethal military aid to Ukraine:

A discussion on the Ukraine war will be included on the agenda of the upcoming summit between Presidents Yoon Suk Yeol and Joe Biden, but the U.S. will not ask Korea to provide military aid to Kyiv, a high-ranking U.S. official said, Tuesday (local time).

“We absolutely had every expectation that the war in Ukraine will be discussed as a part of this state visit, but we certainly would not speak for President Yoon and for any additional support he may or may not be willing to provide,” U.S. National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said at a press conference with Korean press.

“Every nation has to decide for itself whether or not it will support Ukraine and to what degree it’s willing to support Ukraine. Some nations provide advanced lethal capabilities, some nations do not. We respect those sovereign decisions,” he said.

If you really believe this? huh. The leaked US documents show all these dirty dealings between US and SK governments, are always hidden from the public eyes and the media.

500,000 rounds of ammo were delivered to the US, as a loan. I’m sure that all this isn’t being ended up in Ukraine.

This is on top of 100,000 rounds sold to the US earlier this year, and another 350,000 rounds given to Poland. Almost a million rounds were given away this year, what’s left in South Korea’s storage?

Maybe they don’t need to talk about it because the aid was already given?

Korea Man, let’s look closer:

500,000 rounds of ammo was not “loaned” to America.

It was rented.

Loaned is the word you use in public when you don’t want American citizens to wonder why we have to get our artillary shell reserve like a welfare mother gets her VCR from the rent-to-own place because we gave ours away.

330,000 rounds were not given to Poland. They were not sold either. The leaked documents says the Korean government debated selling them but was worried about end-user guarantees.

100,000 round were sold to America last year… but… uh… that is fully in line with Korea’s long-term plan to be a global supplier of this.

Quit your whining.

Everything is going well.

The next 30 years is going to see weapons do for Korea what crappy electronics did in the 80s, good electronics did in the 90s, cars did in the 2000s, and chips and LCDs are doing now.

Korea has a bright future for energy, food, automation, transportation, maybe AI, maybe space, and security.

…as long as they don’t let lefties, commies, Americans, and Chinese like you derail it.
