South Korea to Introduce New Identification Card for Foreigners

For people staying in Korea for longer than 90 days, they will be getting a new ID card:

The Ministry of Justice said Tuesday a new type of identification card will be issued to foreigners staying in South Korea for more than 90 days, starting on Saturday.

This is the first time in 12 years the ministry will introduce a new design for a Residence Card, formerly known as an Alien Registration Card.

A new Residence Card will feature a full-color photo of the holder that is 35 percent larger than the current version. The current design has a black-and-white photo of the holder. Also, the holder’s photo will be moved from the left side to the right.

Who do they think they are? Facebook?

Always a change, never an improvement.

For the first time I agree with Chickenface. Change to make things look better rather than addressing the issues and solving the issues.

Case in point, Yoon party’s racist and sexist discriminatory bills to bring in foreign slave workers to pay them below minimum wage in a desperate attempt to ward off the coming demographic and economic collapse.

Foreign maids and no military service: South Korea criticizes ideas to boost the birthrate and 69-hour work weeks (let’s make people work til they drop mentality)

But Americans want Yoon in there because he’s a good servant to the White House, with absolutely no regard for Koreans who are suffering under this man.

A foreign maid might might increase my birthrate.

There is no demographic collapse.

Overpopulation is the problem.

Korea would be better off with half the current population.

This will become increasingly clear as AI starts advancing even more over the next year or so.

And once it is coupled with robotics, there will be no question.

Talking about ways to increase the birthrate is like arguing over fast food minimum wage as the order kiosk is being installed.
