Picture of the Day: North Korea Claims 800,000 People Enlisted Into Their Military

This photo, released by North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on March 18, 2023, shows an event in which people signed up to join the military to fight against the United States and South Korea. The agency reported about 800,000 students and workers expressed intent to enlist or reenlist in the military across the country on March 17 alone. (For Use Only in the Republic of Korea. They probably signed up thinking they would at least get a couple of meals a day. Better than going hungry.
If one was to look at growing global military budgets, increasing manufacturing tempos, supply chain reorganizations, solidifying alliances, and pretty much everything else, one could come to the concusion that everyone is preparing for global war.
America, Russia, and China are safe.
Eastern Europe, North Asia, and everything between Iran and Turkey may not be.
