President Yoon Says Labor Unions Must Disclose Accounting Books to Keep Government Subsidies

Why is the Korean government giving subsidies to violent pro-North Korean labor unions in the first place?:

President Yoon

President Yoon Suk Yeol warned Monday of “firm action” against labor unions that refuse to disclose their account books while receiving large amounts of government subsidies, his office said.

Yoon’s warning came during a weekly meeting with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo as they discussed ways to increase labor unions’ accounting transparency and regulatory reforms, according to presidential spokesperson Lee Do-woon.

“The president stressed once again that the starting point for labor union reform is transparency of labor union accounting,” Lee said during a press briefing.

“There is no choice but to take firm action against behavior that uses hundreds of billions of won from taxpayers’ precious money in government subsidies, but denies the rule of law and refuses to disclose the details of their use,” Yoon was quoted as saying.

The hundreds of billions of won was an apparent reference to People Power Party Rep. Kweon Seong-dong’s recent claim that the country’s two largest umbrella unions — the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and the Federation of Korean Trade Unions — received 152.1 billion won (US$117.4 million) in subsidies from the labor ministry and regional governments between 2018 and 2022.

Meanwhile, only 120 out of 327 labor unions and groups with 1,000 or more members complied with the government’s request for accounting records from Feb. 1-15, according to the labor ministry.

Yonhap

You can read more at the link, but the Yoon administration says they will cut off all funding if these unions do not open their books for inspection. They are probably all furiously cooking their books now to try and cover up irregularities before any inspection.

This is brilliant!

Yoon’s employment policy is already starting to show results.

It will take each union at least one more accountant to keep that extra set of books.

However that doesn’t mean that I think Yoon should go fuck himself.

On second thought yeah Yoon should probably go fuck himself.

Chicken Head,

Is it me or have you renounced the Path set by your master and leader, setnaffa?

CCP hillbillies… they are so laughably predictable.

And lame.

Meh. Those two are not mine.

I have nothing against Yoon.

Moon did his best to kill small business and stop the party… which has not recovered… and may never… so not real fond of him.

And the guy that ran against Yoon who said it is too easy to start a business in Korea so too many people fail… with the solution being more expense and regulation… that guy can die in a fire.

Those who wish the destroy the things that make Korea economically strong and socially pleasurable, as they try to do in America, can go fùck themselves.

I haven’t seen Yoon do too much.

And that is a win.

Interesting.

The Setnaffarians are now claiming that some of the comments made by Chicken Head are made by the Chinese and not by Chicken Head.

Which begs the question.

Are they telling the truth? And which comments are the actual stance of Chicken Head?

The Setnaffarians are well known for spreading fake news, misinformation, and conspiracy theories.

Recently, they tried and failed to spread a conspiracy theory that the DPK created the Itaewon tragedy so that they can impeach Yoon.

Considering their past activities, it is not surprising that they will say one thing then another and then claim that the Chinese said it and not them, as a way of getting out of what they claimed while blaming it on the Chinese.

A convenient way of avoiding responsibility while having fun at the expense of others.

So, Korea Person, what exactly is your point?

What exactly do you gain by commenting under other people’s names?

You aren’t clever enough to cause any confusion or change any thinking. It is bothersome but not really more bothersome than the comments under your own name.

If anyone cares enough to think, it is clear these are imposter comments. I will casusally point them out anyway, if anybody cares.

My ideas and writing style are established. If you write something stupid or out of character, nobody will belive it. If you write something clever in my style, I will take credit for it.

In the end, I take it as a compliment that you care about me.

As a bonus, if somebody gets offended over something I said, I will just blame you.

“What? I said intrusive communists should be thrown out of helicopters? Perposterous. That doesn’t sound like me at all. Violence solves nothing. Communists just need to be educated with love and compassion. I’m pretty sure you are thinking of those comments by Korea Person under my name. He is always going on about the vaccine not working and free medical care for illegal aliens is bad for the economy and how Ukraine is going to lose the war. He is best ignored.”

Ah yes.

Now the Setnaffarians are trying to cover their tracks by trying to start another lame conspiracy theory that I “stole” the Chicken Head identity.

How so Setnaffarian.

And good luck fighting against imaginary “Chinabots”.

Setnaffarians.

Why don’t you come clean and admit that it was another stunt.

Or are you like Kim Keon Hee.

You know do something not so ideal and later deny that you did it and bunt it to someone else.

“I don’t know whether to laugh or be concerned at the latest antics by our American hillbillies.”

Why choose one when you can have both?

I appreciate the concern.

And I never miss the opportunity to be a clown.

And you will have something for at least two of your sock puppets to keep busy with.

Sounds like win win win win to me.

But to be frank, I’m setanffa’s sockpuppet so we have something in common, eh?
