Labor rallyMembers of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, shout slogans in front of the National Assembly in Seoul on Dec. 27, 2022, as the more militant of the country’s two umbrella labor unions stages a rally to call for the revision of the labor law to limit employers’ damage claims against labor unions, among others. Union members are the “useful idiots” Lenin and Stalin wrote about.

If you can’t bring the communist to the helicopter, bring the helicopter to the communist.

Though airplanes are better at delivering napalm.

But before we start beating off to dead communists, I have two questions that someone following all this can answer:

– What exactly are their grievances?

– Are their geievances legitimate?

I only ask this because communism is pretty much at the bottom… but crony capitalism is giving it a run for its money.

It is hard to pick a side when government and crony capitalists team up against the worker/citizen/small business owner…

…and they turn to communism hoping it will somehow fix things.

They are wrong, of course.

But, instead of napalm, these mistaken communists just need some free enterprise… and perhaps some rubber hose for the lazy ones who don’t catch on quickly.

Globalism and corporitism are turning out to be almost as bad as communism.

The exploitation is the same… but with iPhones.

Rubber hoses filled with sand, applied liberally to the soles of the feet of a recalcitrant witness, are, I’ve been told, a faster way to loosen the tongue than even waterboarding. And less messy.

The fellow who told me, a medically-retired Navy Officer, actually traded both of his knees for Silver Stars, one in Vietnam and one in El Salvador. He actually rescued priests from conditions like that in both countries; and was severely wounded in the process.

I saw the medals and read the citations. A very humble man. He just looked like a normal, though somewhat older, college student when I met him.

He was also very good at grilling steaks, though his choice of beverages wasn’t mine.

Torture is only for fun.

Some people need to think about how they got to where they are but even under such duress, they rationalize, lie to themselves, and blame everyone else.

There are exceptions where torture is the right action, but that is not the rule.

Physical torture is the dull tool of the inelegant, unimaginative, and the perverted.

From the first Indiana Jones movie: Torture is just a form of m@sturb@tion used by sadists.

Marion Ravenwood: “You don’t need that! I’ll talk!!”

Major Arnold Toht: “I know you will”
