Clever move by whoever is running this to install an actor with a big ego and very good optics management.

He is playing his part in maximizing Ukranian civilian deaths and the destruction of homes, businesses, and infrastructure.

He is the hero of Ukraine now but will be considered a puppet of the west by historians as he will be the face of responsibility for the needless destruction of Ukraine followed by what the Russian are going to do anyway… with or without the collateral damage.

Maybe, but if it is horrifically costly to the Russians then they are more likely to reconsider invading or destabilizing (little green men first) other non-NATO West friendly nations and much more likely to reconsider NATO countries.

Ukraine went overboard on disinformation early which is usually a Russian specialty which makes their later claims of atrocities unfortunately challengeable. (Video game footage and the X of Ukraine claims with outdated DTGs)

It’s pretty clear that block after block of civilian apartments, homes and other activities were blasted off the earth by the Russians so it’s amazing to see so many give wildly unbalanced perspectives. Russia is the invader, if they wanted any semblance for a moral cause they would have stuck to the disputed territories they have spent over a decade destabilizing.

Go Ukraine.
