KCTU Rally Feared to be A Possible Super Spreader Event

I guess we will see if the KCTU gets bashed like Korean conservatives were after a rally last August by the Korean media and government:

At least three protesters who took part in the latest massive rally organized by a major umbrella labor group have tested positive for COVID-19, health authorities said Saturday, sparking concerns about potential further infections amid spiking virus cases.

A woman in her 50s was confirmed Friday to be infected with the virus after attending the street rally held by the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) in central Seoul on July 3, and two more protesters tested positive Saturday.

Around 8,000 members of the KCTU participated in the rally to demand a revision to the labor act, despite authorities’ repeated call to cancel it amid the pandemic.

So it has been two weeks… and 3 people tested positive for a cold which may or may not have come from the rally.

Yep.

Sounds like a SUPER SPREADER EVENT!

…probably of the NeW sTrAiN!

…which is especially dangerous to Children, Puppies, and Kpop Idols.

Fortunately, there is a preventative measure that is almost 100% effective.

1. Turn off the news.
2. Return to normal life.
3. Take a baseball bat to any government officials that try to interfere.

Within a week, and 9 government officials later, the CoViD WaVe will vanish, never to return.

Then we can go back to Dokdo and comfort women.

I was recently talking to a business owner I know.

I was actually considering investing 4 years ago when he started this business. I didn’t do it because in the contract discussions an unnegotiable condition was all profits would be reinvested for 5 years.

That is a good business strategy.

But nothing that I have ever done lasts for more than 5 years without going to shit. Fortunately, that forces me into something better. Your mileage may vary.

They were expanding and I was kicking myself a bit. Then they got a buyout offer from a big company… and I really kicked myself. Investors said yes! The owner said No… it could be far more valuable.

He was right.

But here we are.

He is burning through cash… corporate and personal.

“So why aren’t business owners like you fighting back?”

“Are you going to lead the demonstration?”

“I am set. I am many steps up the misery chain before it becomes my problem for me. But for you and all of those like you, why do you all watch yourselves slip into ruin without a peep?”

No answer.

And this is why the Ruling Elite think nothing of the masses. They can’t take care of themselves. What good are they except as a temporary tool.

A corollary to that might be a bad paraphrase of George Santayana:

Those who do not ignore the mistakes of history are condemned to live surrounded by those who do.

And while I’d recommend all of you dear readers read and meditate solely on the Bible every day, I’d also suggest the unconvinced read The Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and The Road to Serfdom by Fredrich Hayek in your spare time.

A new dekulakization is underway in many countries around the world. And those running it are neither as wise nor as forgiving as was Joseph Stalin.

There is scattered opposition; but whichever side you wish to support, may I call to your attention Psalm 20:7 (ESV): “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.”

I went to a Super Spreader Event once.

Wasn’t what I thought it was going to be.

Guess what. The KCTU who were at the rally are required to be tested, after those three were found to be infected. They’ve been bashed for their wreckless behavior in the media. But that’s not my point. Do consider that this is the first case of the KCTU spreading the infection through rallies, compared to the Conservative groups (as well as the Christian freaks who are one of the sub-groups), where the Rightwing Christian groups alone are responsible for 45% of the cluster cases in Korea for the last two years. So yah, the criticism is due to the sheer number of ass-h*les that are part of the TOK Tochak Waegu Party.

The important thing to note is that “assholes” isn’t a hyphenated word.
