When Ahn tried to run for President a while back, he teamed with then Candidate Moon Jae-in for a possible united candidacy to oppose the conservatives.

When it was determined that Moon was a better candidate, if my memory is correct, Ahn at first he endorsed Moon and pledged support, but then out of the blue ran off to a foreign country.
(Translation : At the end, he didn’t keep his word)

This move not only gutted Ahn’s political credibility, but probably help split the votes handing Park Geunhae the presidency.

Years ago he allied with the liberals and now he has come back as a conservative.

It will be interesting to see whether or not Ahn will repeat his previous moves.

If he was ever allied with Moon, the Conservatives should keep him at arms length…
