Picture of the Day: Up to A 1,000 Year Old Buddha Statue Found in Bukhansan National Park
This photo, released by the office of Mount Bukhan National Park on Sept. 14, 2020, shows the head of a Buddha stone statue, with its body and head separated, believed to be from the early years of the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392). The office found the statue in the valley of Insu Peak on the mountain in Goyang near Seoul on Sept. 12, which it excavated after gaining permission from the Cultural Heritage Administration.
