North Korean Anthem Played During Korean War Commemoration Ceremony President Moon Attended

Dr. Tara O has another nugget on the appeasement of North Korea by the Moon administration:

At the 70th Anniversary of the Korean War commemoration event in South Korea, the North Korean anthem was played prior to the South Korean national anthem.  The annual event, which is usually held during the day, was held late at night for the first time on June 25, 2020, with Korean War veterans and foreign guests.  The U.S. Defense POW/MIA Accountability Agency (DPAA) sent the remains of 147 Republic of Korea (ROK) soldiers who died during the Korean War; the remains were initially returned from North Korea.  South Korean president Moon Jae-in, after skipping the event for the first three years of his presidency, attended the commemoration event for the first time.

You can read much more at the link, but this is like playing verses from Horst-Wessel-Lied as part of the Star Spangled Banner during a Normandy Commemoration.

See this is why I don’t trust anything East Asia Research Center, any of its far right conservative cohorts and its Trump-Bolton type American right wing afiliates. Even a quick 5 minute research came up with this, that shows it’s a fake story.

This site’s author is too lazy to do his own research before reporting on the fake news as if they are fact. Of course, having no language ability in Korean would make it difficult for him to do his own research, which I don’t blame him for. But what I do blame him for is the fact that he only takes sources from nutjob sources far right sources to weave a narrative that South Korea is taken over by commies.

J6, our Chinese man is too lazy to read past the headline before throwing YouTube links which every knows is an absolute paragon of solid truth and journalism. Excuse me while I watch the latest about the woman with two heads marrying the Siamese outlaw biker twins. It’s on YouTube so it must be true…

GIKorea, I don’t think you fully understood what the YTN news report was saying.

The few second of that controversial opening melody is a very common opening used by many orchestras around the world, first composed by the great Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky 1840-1893. There is nothing special about the melody to say it’s a North Korean anthem.

Anyway, however you slice it, you and the East Asia Research Center tried to misrepresent this. Reading your opinion and East Asia Research, people would get the wrong ideal that Moon was saluting to the full rendition of the North Korean national anthem, when that was furthest from the fact.

The truth was that the few seconds of the opening of the South Korean anthem was problematic to some South Korean Conservatives who believes that it’s a North Korean anthem. This is completely different from Moon participating to the full rendition of the North Korean anthem, as you attempted to falsely suggest.

Nobody around here like mumbling double-talk. Even if it’s couched in terms that condescending.
