Report Claims U.S. May Move Troops from Germany to the Indo-Pacific Region

The big question is where in the Indo-Pacific would these troops go if they are in fact moved out of Germany?:

Thousands of troops may be redeployed to the Indo-Pacific under a plan to reduce U.S. forces in Germany, according to the White House’s national security adviser.

President Donald Trump announced last week his intentions of cutting troop levels in Germany from 34,500 to 25,000. He said the country, where the U.S. has stationed troops since 1945, has shortchanged the United States on trade and defense, and that he will reduce troop numbers “until they pay” more.

The move has been criticized by lawmakers in Germany and in the United States, including members of the Republican Party.

A return to the Philippines perhaps? With trouble brewing over China’s illegal occupation of the South China Sea islands and the military bases that they have constructed there, the Philippines would be the absolute best place to put these troops. The US has already made inroads back into the Philippines by having US Navy vessels redeployed to Subic Base. We’ll have to see what happens and I will keep my eye on the local news here to see if there are any developments.

There are plenty of empty hotels in Hawaii.

Philippines already forced the US military out twice already, and Duterte doesn’t like America.

As for Australia, I highly doubt they are going to pay the US, billions of $’s required by America.

I suggest the Samoan Islands in the Pacific. It’s an isolated island away from all the Asian conflicts that will keep those US troops safe and comfortable. Or the other option could be just disband the division and lay off all the personnel who are no longer needed. That would be the cheapest solution.
