These photos, provided by a civic organization for the hearing-impaired in Daejeon, 164 kilometers south of Seoul, on May 21, 2020, show transparent masks which allow hearing-impaired students to see teachers’ mouth movements. The organization provides the special mask to teachers for free.(Yonhap)

Once the masks become totally transparent, our transition to food-service workers will be complete.

This seems just as useful as Alyssa Milano’s macrame mask.

Without enough area to filter, the air will slip around the sides.

And eyes are more easy for the virus to use as an infection vector than breathing passages.

The panic pr0n continues…

My wife has significant hearing loss and like this idea because she prefers lip reading (and facial expressions) over her hearing aids. We have a few here but not very many.

Doc, I don’t argue they won’t help lip readers. I just think they’re part of the Potemkin Plague Pr0n Theatre.

What mask did we use for Influenza B?
