Sure, they have Admiral Yi Sun-sin in bronze on a major thoroughfare now; but they had him in jail between his victories over the Japanese. Because their governments have been as frigid and ill-tempered as any other country.
South Koreans elected Moon to lead them exactly where they’re headed. I hope it tastes better being a Chinese serf than a Japanese serf (1876-1945). Because their experiment in being neither was solely due to the US spending 54,246 American lives, not counting the wounded or missing.
The USA isn’t out of the socialist woods yet either, so don’t mistake this as trying to suggest the issue is limited to Korea.
