USFK Reports Zero Cases of Coronavirus Infection in U.S. Military Personnel
Here is the latest from USFK on their coronavirus prevention response:

There remains zero confirmed cases of USFK personnel with COVID-19 despite the rise in confirmed South Korean cases to more than 100 patients.
Out of continued abundance of caution and the utilizing the USFK Commander’s authorities to protect the force, the risk for USFK peninsula-wide personnel and installations remains moderate.
To ensure USFK remains vigilant in preventing the spread of COVID-19 within USAG-Daegu and Area IV, the following prudent health protection measures are in effect:
All service member mission-essential only travel to/from/around Daegu, and all service member non-mission essential travel to/from Daegu requires GO/FO authorization; this is highly encouraged for all family members, civilians and contractors.

Lies.
SK television has been putting World War Z on tv for the last few weeks, lol. I didn’t realize that Camp Humphreys is depicted in the movie. One of the good zombie scenes from the movie on youtube is “Escape from SK”.
The threat comes from the KNs who are Shinchonji or living with one and keep silent about it.
Like there were no casualties from Iran’s rocket attack, there are no cases of our folks catching this virus. Same source of information – US Defense Department. As long as we have folks living on the economy we will have people who can fall victim to this virus. But, then, if the CG orders his troops not to get the virus, then we will have nothing to fear, Army leadership at it’s finest
Good point j6junkie. I wonder how many Shinchonji members (or their spouses) work on the bases.
Also, how many of them go to Emart or an off-post supermarket or mall? All of them.
This virus won’t be stopped by the gate questionnaires or temperature checks. It’s only a matter of time for Area IV.
That will change soon. I heard prior to this ROK military was using some simulation center sites as quarantine sites for ROK military return from leaves etc..
I am suspect too of these claims of zero cases.
Updated. 1 USFK case, in Daegu.
South Korea’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention informed United States Forces Korea today that a USFK dependent living in Daegu tested positive for COVID-19, making this the first time a USFK-related individual has tested positive for the virus.
USFK has raised the risk level to “high” for USFK peninsula-wide as a prudent measure to protect the force.
The patient, a 61-year old female, visited Camp Walker’s Post Exchange on Feb. 12 and 15, and KCDC and USFK health professionals are actively conducting contact tracing to determine whether any others may have been exposed.
USFK encourages all personnel to continue to practice strict proper hygiene procedures as the best ways to prevent the spread of viruses and protect the USFK population: wash hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer, do not touch your face or eyes with unclean hands, avoid handshaking and unnecessary contact with others, non-mission essential large gatherings, clean all common-use areas and items, use caution when traveling off-installation, and most importantly if feeling sick or ill, avoid going to work or school and seek medical treatment for proper diagnosis.

Today, co-workers in Seoul were sharing stories of dirty looks and irrational avoidance behavior from mask-wearing sheeple on the bus, subway, and Lotte Mart.
Everyone is wearing a mask…except us.
Mask are fairly worthless. Avg mask helps to stop spread if you are infected but wont stop you getting getting infected if you are currently not.
Anyway with up to a 20 day incubation period we might all be infected and just not know it yet…
