It is worth noting that Zimbabwe (ZI) and Zambia (ZM) are on the list because, at least indirectly, North Korea trained Robert Mugabe, the rebel leader who won a crooked election in 1980 and was shoved into power by Jimmy Carter and the UN over the top of a more moderate black Bishop.
Zimbabwe was a land of farms that fed itself and many neighbors. Now they can’t even feed themselves. Probably 30 Million Central Africans died of starvation and related diseases between 1980 and 2010. They’re even trying to get the White farmers to return to try to stop the death spiral.
I hope Jimmy Carter wakes up and reali,es the terrible price Africa and Central America paid for his naivete regarding Mugabe in Zimbabwe and Ortega in Nicaragua.
And I hope future American Presidents leave nation-building to the locals. Our efforts never work.
