Tweet of the Day: Defacto Peace Through Deterrence
Headline misleading. The peninsula is not engulfed in active war. De facto peace has been kept–by deterrence–since 1953, grated there are varying degrees of "peace."
A mere declaration of peace or even a peace treaty does not denote real peace. Just ask Saigon circa 1975. https://t.co/GNFruvaoO9

Contracts are meaningless unless both sides want to keep them. Paper signed in Munich 1938 had the British PM bragging about “Peace For Our Time”, as history records…
BTW, Communists and Muslims crow about peace constantly; but they have a different definition than we do. What they mean is not amicable coexistence, it’s complete victory for their side.
“Let’s set the record straight. There is no argument over the choice between peace and war, but there is only one guaranteed way you can have peace–and you can have it in the next second–surrender.” — Ronald Reagan
