Don’t expect him to relax any environmental regulations on USFK. I figure after Yongsan closes the ROK government and activists will claim all kinds of damages they want USFK to pay for just like they did up in Area 1.
Does anyone remember when the Korean media was claiming that Camp Kyle was so polluted that ROK personnel had to walk around in anti-contamination suits and jackboots? It was of course all BS but I expect the same thing to happen after USFK leaves Yongsan:
