‘Horny bastard’ first sergeant had affair with female infantry private, Army says

Critics said it was bound to happen, and, sure enough, it did.
Sgt. 1st Class Chase Usher, who had been serving as the top noncommissioned officer of B Company, 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, has been removed from his position leading soldiers and is serving in a staff role, an 82nd Airborne spokesman told Army Times on Tuesday.
“Disciplinary action deemed appropriate by the chain of command was taken against both individuals and has been completed,” Lt. Col. Ramon Osorio, the division spokesman, said. “Both continue to serve within the division, however, the first sergeant was relieved of his position and currently serves on the staff of a different unit.” [Army Times]

A female platoon sergeant said Usher told a group of her colleagues that he was going to be Thor for Halloween, but wouldn’t need to carry a hammer ― because he already had a comparable tool in his pants, according to the investigation.

Horn dog NCOs screw around with junior female troops all the time in combat service support units. Why is it anymore noteworthy because it happened in an Infantry unit?

Former 11B here. Why is it so unacceptable for an infantry NCO to screw around with his subordinates when NCOs in REMF units do it all the time? Cos combat arms units and especially infantry units don’t and never have prior to 2017, unless they were gay, and they’d be outed before that ever happened. So to start, any fraternization and f*cking around in the ranks of an infantry unit — especially in a high profile, ‘Tier One’ airborne GRF like the 82nd — is seriously prejudicial against good order and discipline not to mention simply umacceptable. That’s the main difference between infantry and the rest of the Army. And I don’t think this is straight out of the “Duffel Blog” either. Thus was bound to happen from day one once they decided to open up all cimbat arms to females. All you had to do was read the writing on the wall. Thanks Obama for turning the Army into a summer camp foe sissies.

Yeah REMFs…. what good are they? Stupid signalers that give unparalleled combat visibility. Or those dumb supply guys that sit around doing nothing but keeping you fed, the gens topp’ed off, and pour ammo into thirsty magazines. Don’t get me started on those medical nerds… who needs them right? Sheesh I could just go on with the list of parasites weighing down our combat arms. 🙄

HK, a couple of things, two wrongs don’t make right, just because they do it we can do it. If I had a female on my Tank Crew I sure as hell would treat her the same as everyone else. Even let her take a whore’s bath out of a 50 cal can in private. Close the hatches!
