A pair of Democratic senators on Wednesday introduced an amendment to the annual defense policy bill that would stop President Trump from withdrawing U.S. forces from South Korea without the Pentagon’s input.
The amendment “would help prevent the President from making a rash decision about troop reductions on the Korean Peninsula that negatively impacts our national security,” Sens. Tammy Duckworth (Ill.) and Chris Murphy (Conn.) said in a joint statement.
Introduced for the Fiscal 2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the provision would stop a withdraw “unless the U.S. Secretary of Defense certifies it is in our national security interest and would not significantly undermine the security of our allies in the region.” [The Hill]
Let’s hope it’s an indication of things to come to see modern-day Democrats interested in national security for a change. A small yet welcome respite from the Nancy Pelosi echo chamber of Russia collusion, impeachment, protecting illegals, etc.
During President Carter’s bid to pull troops out of Korea, it was a Republican led campaign that ultimately thwarted the effort.

Dems aren’t interested in national security nor are they fighting a troop withdrawal. They are worried about regaining power and fighting any attempts to block the effort. This isn’t ending anytime soon, we have at least 2 more years of Dems doing stupid shit like this in what’s been the longest temper tantrum in the history of politics. Duckworth can shove her prosthetic legs up her fat ass, hopefully it’ll dislodge some of the shit she’s full of.

WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Bosnia, Kosovo, The rise of ISIS, the resurgence of the Taliban, and even that Blackhawk Down thing all started with Democrats in the White House… To me it seems crystal clear who is promoting US “Occupation Forces” and who is trying to bring the troops back home…
I’m not saying the GOP is anything more than clueless; but there is a disturbing trend about Democrats and warmongering here…
