An immeasurable amount of people actually care about the people of the DPRK. Most just use the human rights issue as something to bolster some other argument they’re trying to make.
Here’s a simulation between me and a fake version of CH that claims to care:
Fake-CH: First Trump wants to start a nuclear war and now he’s praising Kim, this is crap!
Me: Well nothing else has worked so maybe it’s time to sit down and directly have talks with the DPRK.
Fake-CH: No way man, that regime has been oppressing their own people for far too long!
Me: Yeah you’re right, here’s a gun let’s go.
Fake-CH: Uhh, let’s go where?
Me: North Korea; you’re right, it’s time we invade and put a stop to it all!
Fake-CH: Uhh yeah I’m not getting killed fighting someone else’s war. Why does the USA have to be the world’s police!
