Picture of the Day: March 1st Independence Day Rally at Seodaemun

S. Korea commemorates Independence Movement Day

President Moon Jae-in and first lady Kim Jung-sook raise their hands in hurrah after a march in front of the Seodaemun Prison History Hall in Seoul on March 1, 2018. The day marked the 99th anniversary of the March 1 Independence Movement Day when people started nationwide rallies to demand Korea’s independence from Japanese colonial rule. The Seodaemun Prison is where many independence fighters were jailed and martyred. (Yonhap)

Hardly independence day, that came on VJ day thanks to the USofA and Allies and nothing some group of Korean protesters did. What the March 1 movement did do is strength the communist party of Korea…probably why commie moon is celebrating so much…

Yeah, but you got to admit, it begins to make better sense of why Moon is pushing so hard to get talks started, and maybe even finished by March 2019, so that he can claim to have reunited the country one hundred years after its first independence rally.
