Susan Sarandon narrates ‘Death Row Stories’ is a MUST SEE…This episode ~
http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/13/health/death-row-stories-execution-methods/index.html
“Throughout the history of capital punishment in America, states have reviewed and revised execution methods in the interest of finding a more “humane” option.

Hanging was the standard for much of the 19th century, as Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito noted in the court’s recent ruling related to capital punishment.

New York led the charge in the 1880s to trade the hangman’s noose for the electric chair, based on a legislative commission’s finding that electrocution was “the most humane and practical method known to modern science,” and other states followed its lead. In 1921, Nevada adopted a new method — lethal gas — after concluding that it was “the most humane manner known to modern science.” And other states followed suit.

Though some states kept the firing squad and hanging, electrocution remained the predominant…”

Planned Parenthood will not die but GOPer’s aren’t really “Pro-Life” they’re only Pro-Birth since once a life is born GOPer’s are quick to inhumanely and cruelly kill(or did they forget that part of the constitution?). Sending servicethemselfmembers to kill and be killed in USA FAUX/created never ending wars around the world.
As Huckabee(wannabee 2016 GOP president/former FoxNOTnews host) wants 10 year old females to give birth after rape and/or incest and then what…when GOPer’s don’t care if the baby has food(slashing food-stamps), medical care(repeal Obamacare) or a roof over its head(Too Big to Fail banks don’t care about little poor girls who get raped) because as ALL GOPer’s sign the Grover Norquist “NO NEW/RAISE TAXES” Pledge ~ Gotta to cut those taxes…EXCEPT those that cover the DOD WAR Defense. DOD should be changed to DOO ❗ That’s Dept. of Offense for all you EGGHEADS ❗

1. Who gives a fukk about what Susan Sarandon says, does, or thinks.

2. An OD of heroin is the solution to any debate on humane execution… with the bonus that the War on Drugs provides “free” supplies.

A plastic bag over their head filled with nitrous oxide would also solve the problem.

A belt/rope and a pr0n magazine seems like it is pretty effective as well… at least if we need to execute any celebrities.

3. Hey Tbone, I don’t know why you keep yapping about GOP, pro-life, and EGGHEADS all in the same sentence. I am not a Republican and I am 100% pro-choice…

…especially in black neighborhoods.

I can agree with the Democrats on that one.

“1. Who gives a fukk about what Susan Sarandon says, does, or thinks.”

Ewww, you sound so hateful. What did she ever do to you? So whenever you/EGGHEAD mentions anybody in the future a fair comeback for anyone would be…”Who gives a fukk about what _____ ______ says, does, or thinks.”

“3. Hey Tbone, I don’t know why you keep yapping about GOP, pro-life, and EGGHEADS all in the same sentence. I am not a Republican and I am 100% pro-choice…”

EGGHEAD doesn’t understand simple English as I never suggested anyone was “pro-life” but rather pro-birth. Why does EGGHEAD insist on showing us all once again how much of an EGGHEAD he really is ❓

Tbone, don’t answer questions with inferior questions.

Only suckers buy into the limousine liberal self-importance.

Those who try to guilt others into doing the opposite of what they openly do are best ignored. Nothing they wish to force upon you is for your own good.

But, Tbone, you are nothing, if not a sucker… so I understand your profound interest in all things Susan Sarandon.

Tbone, I simply pointed out that Democrats support the murder of minority babies through strategic placement of infanticide clinics in poor neighborhoods.

What’s the problem? The small cost of this service is far less than the longer term costs of unwanted children to social services, the criminal justice system, etc… not to mention the burden of their unwashed presence to the productive classes… which are generally more responsible with their reproductive systems.

While it is somewhat of a self-defeating strategy… as every dead minority baby represents one less future Democratic voter… it is necessary… as, if they all lived, the government would eventually run out of other people’s money trying to keep them from completely retuning to a feral lifestyle… where their territory might expand past the ghetto borders and into some liberal gated communities.

In the end, this is for the GOOD of the black community… so it is hardly racist. This is a valuable service for our minority brothers and sisters… so it is really an anti-racist act… which fits well with Democratic values of tolerance and diversity.

Republicans would rather see black families living in squalor with too many hungry mouths to feed. That keeps the black man down.

It’s too bad your thinking is so warped you now see racism in trying to HELP black families out of poverty and dependence.

This former Lt Col. touched on several of the problems with our military academies, but did he cross the line when he criticized our “heroes?”

In my first article for TomDispatch back in 2007, I wrote about America’s senior military leaders, men like the celebrated David Petraeus. No matter how impressive, even kingly, they looked in their uniforms festooned with ribbons, badges, and medals of all sorts, colors, and sizes, their performance on the battlefield didn’t exactly bring to mind rainstorms of ribbon candy. So why, I wondered then, and wonder still, are America’s senior military officers so generally lauded and applauded? What have they done to deserve those chests full of honors and the endless praise in Washington and elsewhere in this country?

By giving our commanders so many pats on the back (and thanking the troops so effusively and repeatedly), it’s possible that we’ve prevented the development of an American-style stab-in-the-back theory — that hoary yet dangerous myth that a military only loses wars when the troops are betrayed by the homefront. In the process, however, we’ve written them what is essentially a blank check. We’ve given them authority without accountability. They wage “our” wars (remarkably unsuccessfully), but never have to take the blame for defeats. Unlike President Harry Truman, famous for keeping a sign on his desk that read “the buck stops here,” the buck never stops with them.

Think about two of America’s most celebrated generals of the twenty-first century, Petraeus and Stanley McChrystal and how they fell publicly from grace. Both were West Point grads, both were celebrated as “heroes,” despite the fact that their military “surges” in Iraq and Afghanistan proved fragile and reversible. They fell only because Petraeus was caught with his pants down (in an extramarital affair with a fawning biographer), while McChrystal ran afoul of the president by tolerating an atmosphere that undermined his civilian chain of command.

And here, perhaps, is the strangest thing of all: even as America’s wars continue to go poorly by any reasonable measure, no prominent high-ranking officer has yet stepped forward either to take responsibility or in protest. You have to look to the lower ranks, to lieutenant colonels and captains and specialists (and, in the case of Chelsea Manning, to lowly privates), for straight talk and the courage to buck the system. Name one prominent general or admiral, fed up with the lamentable results of America’s wars, who has either taken responsibility for them or resigned for cause. Yup — I can’t either. (This is not to suggest that the military lacks senior officers of integrity. Recall the way General Eric Shinseki broke ranks with the Bush administration in testimony before Congress about the size of a post-invasion force needed to secure Iraq, or General Antonio Taguba’s integrity in overseeing a thorough investigation of prisoner abuse at Abu Ghraib. Their good deeds did not go unpunished.)

Authority without accountability means no one is responsible. And if no one is responsible, the system can keep chugging along, course largely unaltered, no matter what happens. This is exactly what it’s been doing for years now in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere.

“Trump is a symptom of failed GOP leadership. He’s a Cult of Personality type, just like 0bama. But he does say a lot of the right things–and he is moving the Overton Window…”

Yeah, last night my husband and I were talking about this. He doesn’t really watch the news or read anything that’s going on in politics and I brought up Trump. We laughed about him for a while and then my husband asked, “Why are so many people supporting him exactly?” so I mentioned illegal immigration and China, basically that’s it. And he said, “those are some pretty big things…why aren’t you supporting him exactly?” so I mentioned the crony capitalism, walking parody, yadda yadda. And we both agreed we’ll definitely vote for him if it keeps Hillary from winning.

If you start from the point that none of the candidates are good people, it makes the decision easier.

GOP Lansing Michigan Right-Wing Religious HYPOCRITES
http://www.alan.com/2015/08/19/todd-courser-youre-sure-thats-just-tea-youre-drinking/
If you were a state lawmaker (male, married) known for sniffy, holier-than-thou, just awful Tea Party politics and you were having an affair with another sniffy holier-than-thou Tea Party lawmaker (female, married) and you realized you were about to get caught, how would you handle it? Would you think, seriously, that the best way to deflect from the real affair was to invent a phony story about being accused of a liaisonwith a male prostitute and then get really pissed at the person spreading that story, even though that person was you?

You couldn’t have missed the stories coming out about this whole tawdry affair. (Don’t you love that word, “tawdry”? Couldn’t you see someone like Todd Courser using it?) The stories are everywhere now, all over the national airwaves, with our friends at Eclectablog staying right on top of it so we don’t have to. (updates galore!)

Todd Courser appeared on the scene in Lansing on January 1 of this year, when he was sworn in as a Freshman legislator (along with said inamorata and all-around legislative partner in crime, Cindy Gamrat). Before the month was out he was throwing his weight around about his office furniture (he didn’t like it) and about the seating arrangement in the House (he was offended by his placement).

Twenty days after he and his pal Gamrat were sworn in, they were already responding to the governor’s State of the State message…

http://www.eclectablog.com/2015/08/two-largest-hypocrites-in-lansing-todd-courser-cindy-gamrat-have-sexual-relationship-outed-by-former-aide.html
Joshua Cline, a former staffer for both Courser and Gamrat, quit in disgust in April, just months after the new session began. He recently agreed to an interview with the Detroit Free Press. The article focused, of course, on the inside story about the romantic hi-jinks, leaving what I thought was the real gem for later:

Cline, a Lapeer County native, knew Courser before he became a legislator and worked on previous campaigns for the Lapeer Republican. So, he said, he was shocked to become a staffer and encounter a boss who treated his staffers with disrespect and adopted a ‘haughty and elitist’ attitude.
“We had a staff meeting in early January and [Courser] said, ‘Let’s get it straight boys. We’re not here to pass legislation. We’re here for the messaging moments and media,‘ Cline said. He said the decision to quit was wrenching.”

So the newly elected taxpayer-employed public servant thought he’d found the perfect pulpit. Fancy that.

But when the feces hit the fan, Todd couldn’t leave well enough alone. He couldn’t just go into his closet and pray quietly (Matthew 6:6) like Cindy apparently did. No, he had to take to Facebook (where he seems to spend a lot of time) and do a little crying out loud:

…Continued

UPDATE: For those of you who want the background on Courser and Gamrat’s theocratic BS in Michigan, click HERE for our coverage here at Eclectablog.

UPDATE 2: House Speaker Kevin Cotter is calling for an investigation into Courser and Gamrat’s use of public resources to hide their affair. U.S. Congresswoman Candice Miller is calling for Courser’s resignation (though strangely not for Gamrat’s):

Liz, I think I’d vote for Trump…

…not because that old self-promoting shyster would likely make a fine president…

…but because…

– other candidates are mostly pushing petty and distracting issues, or even seriously destructive ones, while talking around the important ones that Trump is pushing

– it is already clear what Bush 3 and Clinton 2 would do with a presidency… little of it positive for America

– gridlock is better than “getting something done”… as everything that “gets done” these days seems to be designed to increase government control, assist the unworthy, or unjustly transfer wealth.

– send a message to both parties that their failure to represent what a majority of average Americans want will be punished

– maybe… just maybe… Trump would actually have some positive aspects… such as a Reganesque resurgence in American strength, pride, and exceptionalism… which Bush 3. Clinton 2, and others, avoid or condemn.

A vote for Trump is not really a vote for Trump.

It is a vote against the other crappy candidates being artificially thrust upon the population by the monopoly two-party system that simply chases the same crappy goals from different angles.

Americans need to take America back from the corporations, special interests, and the 1%… and a vote for Trump, though hardly ideal, is the best choice of the few crappy options offered.

Shots Fired:

http://news.yahoo.com/south-korea-fires-tens-artillery-rounds-north-korea-084136508.html

SEOUL (Reuters) – South Korea said it fired tens of artillery rounds toward North Korea on Thursday after the North launched a shell toward a South Korean loudspeaker that had been blaring anti-Pyongyang broadcasts, as tension escalated on the peninsula.

North Korea did not return fire but later warned Seoul in a letter that it would take military action if the South did not remove the loudspeakers within 48 hours, the South’s defense ministry said.

Well, now. Nice to see the ROK shoot back, and not just roll over. One inbound round, “tens” of outbound rounds. I wonder if Fat Boy was just timing the ROK’s response time… Things could get interesting in a bit, or they could simply fizzle out like usual.

Tbone, there is no gender bias here.

Women working with Rangers is necessary.

This is really going to increase combat efficiency and readiness. Women in Ranger units is a force multiplier.

You can probably see how not having to sweep the tent floor, clean guns, or prepare MREs frees men up for more fighting and fewer mundane domestic duties.

Not only that… it will save resources such as towels, tape, and rubber gloves… as it will no longer be necessary to construct a field puzzy under fire if you want to hammer out a quick combat jack.

I don’t know what planet you live on, Tbone, but I fully support women in the Rangers and so do many others around here.

I also support blacks in Ranger units… as somebody needs to carry ammo and shine boots.

…so there is no sexism OR racism here.
