The only reason the three soldiers in the 2002 subway brawl were not put on trail and found guilty in a Korean court was the fact that 1 of them was held against his will and forced to participate in an anti-US/USFK rally.

They went way too far, because the mob that day was euphoric with how much solidarity on anti-US/USFK issues they were getting in the society as a whole post-tank accident.

If they had not gone too far – if they had just "held" the one GI until the police came to take custody, those 3 soldiers would have ended up in jail.

But, because they did go to far, and because the US embassy and USFK leadership was outraged, the soldiers had the mandatory time limit on filing charges pass them by and the Korean police even managed to interview some Korean leaders of the anti-US mob that attacked them.

Of course, the anti-US leader who the police said they had concluded started the brawl in the first place was —- not charged with anything….

Whoa! Hold on there soldier.

You can't refer to

top brass as "shameful". Such badmouthing is a breakdown in military discipline. When a Lt. General is asked about Korean anti-Americanism on national television, and weeps in response … we call this "being authentic" and "racially sensitive".

To you soldier, repudiating institutionalized racism trumps any concern for justice. DO YOU UNDERSTAND SOLDIER!

GI, I have been noticing a distinct bad attitude coming from you. You can't just willy-nilly call our leadership "shameful". You are starting to get that "Cindy Sheehan" attitude.

Remember who pays your pension, soldier.
