Boo-freaking-Hoo! Even if the monkeys got the gifts, the nK government would confiscate them as soon as they got back home. Seoul is wasting enough money on this debacle. As an example, just for the lodging for the cheer squad, almost 1 billion KRW will be spent ($52,000). That’s just one item of a long list. I would not even want to try to calculate the transportation costs or the costs for the beefed up security to ensure none of the nK athlete’s tries to defect while they are there. It is apparent that this is a charity Olympics for South Korea because any profit they thought they might get is going to be eaten up by the nK athletes, coaching staff, cheer squad and the state security official which are undoubtedly among those three groups.
