Tbone, I think they are still giving drug tests, though… so you are still ruled out… even if they let your HIV infection slide.

Common modes of HIV transmission:
1. Intravenous drug use/ sharing of needles.
2. Sexual intercourse.
Apparently Korea already tests for number 1, and number 2 doesn’t apply to the demographic in question.

Korean churchers really tried to help you when you had no job, no money, and no future.
They gave you a place to stay. They gave you food. They gave you pocket money.
You were rude. You were demanding. You were lazy. You kept your hand out for more. You gave them absolutely nothing in return… just more burden, more hassle, and a bad taste.
Your students saw you for the buffoon you are. Your employer saw you for the loser you are.
Nobody who knew you wants you back in Korea. Nobody else needs the trouble you bring.
The quality of teachers has gone way up since they started drug testing and degree verification.

Since you asked…It might be worth noting that so many idiots denied the HIV testing was a form of racial discrimination(i.e. chickenbeheaded), but now it looks like S. Korea doesn’t want its gov’t to be so blunt about it. But as Matt says, we STILL have to wait and see in practice ~ This while Trump seeks to cut funding for AIDS treatments would kill 1 million people…

My honest advice is to find a line of work in the U.S. that you enjoy and put your all into it. Be mindful that most people don’t enjoy talking politics in the real world as much as we do here, especially when they have work to do.
However, if English teaching in Korea is your passion, then go for it. If you can’t in Korea, then look into other countries. Perhaps China will open itself up to you.
Don’t let your interactions here define you or your self worth. Your success or failure doesn’t depend on any of us here.
On a side note, are you posting from two devices/IPs or is someone imitating you again?
