Well I tried but no more. Every time I try to get Tbone to be serious for a second, ask real questions, and await a real reply… he ducks me; continues yelling at the top of his head posting BS no one here gives a F about.

At least Tom would step out of his persona every so often but this guy, mouth-poops non-stop the same old rabid Democrat garbage day in and out. If Gary Johnson doesn’t win it’d be worth it to suffer through 4 of Trump just so cancer posters like Tbone heads explode. Only a sadist would stay here this long after the amount of ownings visited upon him.

Wish I could really say what I think but Heir GI (or his nazzi-bot) would probably zonk the post. 😯

The problem is that BONEHEAD has zero interest in conversation, even though he grumbled about it a week or so ago. His goal is to be such an annoying twat that people leave this site in frustration.

If you haven’t figured that out by now, I don’t know what to say. We’ve lost several commenters over the past few years who simply have had enough.

I admire GI Korea’s commitment to free speech, but Tbone is a Grade A Fool. Time to purge the threads.

I didn’t reply because I don’t know what “it” is, and your Q about “gender reassignment surgery” seemed out of context since the article said nothing about “gender reassignment.” If you provide a link about the subject perhaps I’ll respond since it seems to bother you so much. About “Hillary emails” I don’t care about Hillary emails and have said/said as much further down the thread since ZERO charges have come to light all stemming from a B.S. waste of $$$ so-called committee, “Judical Watch” and right-wing/FoxNOTnews hysteria.

Smokes wrote: “same old rabid Democrat garbage”

Could I please see an example of your above claim ❓

Now going forward, what sort of topics would you like me to comment about? Can I comment about rabid republican garbage instead of “rabid democrat garbage”?

In last week’s open thread I commented about statistics, a recent Patraeus report and his newly created gun control group, a Korean movie, Muhammad Ali, a young female singer, the AR-15, recent news about different governors, your favorite…Benghazi and Hillary emails, I’ve defended calls to burn the innocent(this must be what you hate?), the rich and poor, Drumpf, the illegitimate Faith Based Council created by Bush, black kids being suspended and expelled at high rates, a sheriff and his posse targeting the Hmong minority group, the passing of the MJIA, two different corrupt AG’s dropping charges/not prosecuting Drumpf U. for $$$ in return, USA women’s soccer and Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks, anything else you don’t approve 😕

Q: Why is a homeless man’s favorite sexual position the “WOW S,3NO8L”?

A: Because it’s TBONE’S MOM rolled over.

Yeah. Sure. This is equal nonsense as what Tbone vomits up… but at least it is (somewhat) funny.

Banning ip’s and sweeping the threads are mod tactics for a site with a team of moderators with good clock coverage. The `Drop’s not setup for it and it isn’t fair to expect one person to have to watchdog trolls especially when that one person is responsible for pretty much all the content.

I would suggest though that the next time GI’s on the lookout to change to a different backend to try to find one that allows registered users the ability to hide/block posts from specified users. Let the community self-police. It wouldn’t take long before Tbone’s literally and virtually shouting at an empty wall.

Personally every time I’ve stepped away from the `Drop it’s because of Tbone’s incessant thread hogging. Last week’s Open Thread at this time consisted of 58 posts, 25 were Tbone’s. Almost half the thread is him and all but 3 were just him posting long-winded rants. How the F in the Uck can you discuss 22 topics at once? He doesn’t, he just throws a story out there, bitches about whatever and immediately moves one. There’s no discussion it’s just him yelling.

The `Drop used to have a mice mix of debate, blather, soapboxing, hijinks, and trolling but over 75% of the content now is either Tbone, someone arguing with Tbone, or someone telling TBone to STFU.

The site can recover from the .com crash especially now that the Marmot’s closed up shop but it’ll be a serious uphill battle while there’s no way for serious community members to digest without being force-fed Tbone’s BS.

I’m curious to know more about the incident with the guy going to the parade. The article says he is bisexual. Perhaps a lovers’ quarrel?

This is what I meant:

It no longer trusts its citizens because such a government has evil plans.”

We tried threded commrnts… and hated it.

It requires looking at the entire chain of comments to search out any new comments instead of just scrolling to the end.

It completely destroyed the chain of conversation.

Those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it.

“Five flags will put the comment into moderation.”

Just a heads up, I don’t think this feature is working. I’m seeing a post with -5 here and it’s still up. Also on the Orlando thread many had more down votes than 5 and those posts didn’t disappear into moderation.

Jack Ma, Alibaba’s (China’s version of Amazon) founder made some controversial comments about counterfeit products being better than the originals:

“The problem is that the fake products today, they make better quality, better prices than the real names,” he said on Tuesday.
“The exact factories, the exact same materials, but they do not use their names.”

The last part of what he said there confirmed something I always suspected. When American and other western companies move their production lines to China and some other countries those factories are moving some of their sponsor’s product out the back door and selling them as unbranded knock-offs.

By maintaining production in those factories the sponsor companies are actually subsidizing their own competition. In the end, branded products consumers are the ones paying to cover those losses, besides the loss of domestic jobs and national revenue.

Osan sold shoes, sports jerseys, North Face jackets, nd guitars… and probably more… that exactly fits your idea.

When all products are counterfeit, there will be no counterfeit products!
Seems like just about everything is a knock off, or throw away rather than a fixit and keep it, these days. Doesn’t matter what the label says, or the price tag. I had a
Heck, I can’t even darn (most) socks anymore…the thread just rips the cheap fabric after a day or two.
A few years back I had a Bosch refrigerator and the freezer stopped working right after the one year warranty had expired. The repairman told me they were having trouble with cheap Chinese components in them. Bosch is supposed to be a German company, and top of the line.

GOP Utopia in Kansas
http://crooksandliars.com/2016/06/brownbacks-kansas-forces-ceo-move-company
“Kansas is in the second term of perhaps the worst GOP Governor in the nation, and that bar has been set pretty low by fellow Republicans Paul LePage of Maine, Rick Scott of Florida and Pat McCrory of North Carolina. Kansas is such a mess, Jeff Blackwood, CEO of Pathfinder Health Innovations has decided to pack up and move his corporate headquarters to Missouri.

His privately held company provides software to autism therapy centers. Pathfinder’s CEO states that he is moving mainly because his conscience won’t permit him to stay in Kansas anymore.

[“In the end, I believe the goals of the Brownback administration are going exactly to plan — starve the state of resources to the point where it just makes sense to turn over critical government functions to for-profit entities,” Blackwood said.]

The budget shortfalls of the state government have been horrific, plaguing the state for 11 of the past 12 months. Plus, its economy shrank in three of four quarters last year, all at the expense of the poorest and neediest in the state. Perhaps these fake ‘Christians’ think that this is what Jesus would do?

Taxes are bad, mmmkay? Right? Wrong. Here’s how it went down in Kansas:

[The state eliminated income taxes for limited liability companies and other pass-through businesses in 2012 at Brownback’s urging. It has repeatedly fallen short of tax revenue expectations in the years since the policy took effect]

CEO Blackwood is very well versed in the facts. In addition to listing the major medical cuts Brownback imposed, he eloquently explains the consequences of defunding PUBLIC education.

[The state’s public education system, once considered one of the best in the nation, hasn’t been spared, either. You’ll hear claims from Kansas officials that funding to education is at an all time high, but it’s just an accounting trick – they chose to shuffle money for special education and retirement funds through the schools so it could appear as an increase on the books. Salary freezes, underfunding to the point of being ruled unconstitutional, laws allowing teachers to be imprisoned for introducing potentially “offensive” content, cuts and delays in $100 million in payments to the state-run retirement fund, and legislation specifically targeted to cripple the Kansas teacher’s union are all part of an ongoing effort to undermine the public education system in Kansas.
Instead, the Brownback administration plans to offer vouchers to encourage families to send their children to private and religious schools.

To double down on these policies, Brownback is now ignoring the $250 million shortfall predicted for 2016, instead opting for headlines about closing Kansas to refugees and blaming the “liberal media” for the state’s economic woes.

It wasn’t just that Brownback was conservative; it was that he is seen as a tool of the Koch brothers and ALEC, a conservative think tank and lobbying organization. Brownback used his influence and funding to eliminate “moderate” republicans from the Kansas legislature and install his hand-picked conservative cronies. He couldn’t do the same with the Kansas Supreme Court, which has ruled a number of the conservative legislature’s laws as unconstitutional, so Brownback’s administration decided to threaten to cut off funding to the court system and is actively pursuing legislation to impeach the Supreme Court.]

Our friend Charlie over at Esquire reminds us of another key player in the travesty that is Sam Brownback’s Administration: Secretary of(Election Fraud )State, Kris Kobach. Kansas: what better place to be ruled by the KKK? It’s the home of Koch and Kris Kobach…”

@GI

In a strange twist of fate, Osan sold many graymarket products… unaccounted-for originals.

…while the actual licensed stores sells some cheap knockoffs.

The reson for this is the stores in the States are franchises… and NFL, NBA, etc., are greedy and sell the originals to the franchises for a high price, taking much of the profit.

There are guys who supply the franchises with gray/black market products and cut the sports associations out of the loop.

Osan was (is?) a center for this… buying bulk graymarket stuff and sending it back through taxpayer-subsidized mail.

Many answers… http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/19/nyregion/letters-by-and-about-barack-obamas-father.html

“It was while pursuing his undergraduate degree at the University of Hawaii in 1960 that Barack Obama Sr. met Ann Dunham, a classmate. Although he already had a wife and two children in Kenya, he married her the following year, after she became pregnant. Their son was born on Aug. 4, 1961. But Barack Obama Sr. never mentioned his new wife and son, not even in his scholarship applications.”

Well then…

Setnaffa, it is pretty clear that Obama’s father was a sociopath and Obama’s mother was a skank… and… well… Obama is pretty clearly a product of his genetics.

Obama is just smart enough, just self-centered enough, and just black enough to be recognized as a useful tool… and a tool he has been… seemingly by those who wish to downgrade America’s global standing while pilfering its tangible and non-tangible resources.

Bush was a similar tool.

The Clintons appear to be tool users.

Tens of thousands gather to protest US military presence on Japanese island
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/06/19/tens-thousands-gather-to-protest-us-military-presence-on-japanese-island.html

I’m going to make every effort to ensure my future links will be from Fox just because not linking Fox is the “cool thing to do”. 😎

Anyhoo… the above story is a good reason why we need to end these drawn-out international welfare programs and rework our assistance initiatives in the form of real deployments. You want help from the US in the form of military personnel and equipment for security? Set aside an area for us to operate out of, stay away from them, they’ll stay away from you and no one leave the OP unless on mission. This won’t be as fun as today’s “deployments” to Germany/Japan/Korea but that’s not what the military’s for. Let’s do this UNITAF style and get jobs done. This goes without saying that personnel involved would need to be properly compensated as being deployed.
