In a war, leaders who fail to meet objectives are regularly replaced. And tactics are reviewed for effectiveness, too.

In the so-called wars on Poverty, Drugs, and Terror, there should be fewer people on government assistance, fewer drug addicts, and fewer terrorists. The opposite is true.

We need better leaders AND better tactics. We need people with a vision of victory and a love of America like the Founding Fathers…

+1 for Setnaffa.

Of course empowerment comes through perpetual conflict rather than resolution.

None of the “solutions” are supposed to work. In fact, they are supposed to make the problem bigger while still giving the appearance that everything possible is being done.

Blame for failure falls on those who just want to be left alone.

“GOPers silent. I wonder why?”

One imagines it is in utter disbelief that the Democrats use death at an Infanticidium as a source of gleeful politicizing. The bodies of the dead were not even cold before members of that group were calling for innocent people to be stripped of their civil rights because another lunatic with no connection with anyone decided to murder people.

@ # 5 setnaffa,
If Friday’s attack had been anywhere else and involved someone yelling “allahu akbar,” the GOPers would still be in full exploitation mode. They would be screaming from the rafters that it’s Obama’s fault because he’s weak, Syrian refugees must be Christians, ISIS is already in America and only they(GOPers) can save America.

Carly Fiorina Doubles Down On Garbage Lies After Chris Wallace Calls Her Out (Video)

“Ah, yes, the typical go-to move for Republicans when they’re caught in a lie – blame media bias. Funny though, during Wallace’s question even he – a member of Fox News – admitted that what she described during the debate isn’t in the videos to which she was referencing. This isn’t a matter of semantics or “that’s your opinion, so we’ll have to agree to disagree” – what Carly Fiorina described does not exist in the Planned Parenthood videos.”

@18 Liz,
Is that all you can come up with is the “trust” factor like Mrs. Trustworthy herself Fiorina or your fellow Floridian pastor?
http://crooksandliars.com/2015/11/after-planned-parenthood-shooting-florida
“Following the domestic terrorist attack on a Planned Parenthood in Colorado, Jacksonville First Baptist Church Pastor McCall “Mac” Brunson accused the organization’s president, Cecile Richards, of hating God and loving death.
Speaking to his congregation “in light what what we’re living through” on Sunday, Brunson read a verse from the Bible warning, “the person who sins will die.”
“I can get onto Planned Parenthood here,” he opined. “Who in the world is better to represent them than that president of Planned Parenthood? You’ve seen her on Ellen DeGeneres, you’ve seen her before Congress. She is so astute, she is so smart, she so sharp, she is attractive, she is so clean cut.”
“But let me tell you something,” Brunson added. “She hates our God because she loves death.”
“Amen!” several church members shouted.
“She loves death,” Brunson repeated. “Those doctors that practice that, they hate our God, they love death.”

You’re 7 Times More Likely To Be Killed By A GOPer Right-Wing Extremist Than A Muslim Terrorist

If you want to live in fear, let’s put it in perspective.
http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2015/11/30/3725562/you-are-more-than-7-times-as-likely-to-be-killed-by-a-right-wing-extemist-than-by-muslim-terrorists/
“Though terrorism perpetrated by Muslims receives a disproportionate amount of attention from politicians and reporters, the reality is that right-wing extremists pose a much greater threat to people in the United States than terrorists connected to ISIS or similar organizations. As UNC Professor Charles Kurzman and Duke Professor David Schanzer explained last June in the New York Times, Islam-inspired terror attacks “accounted for 50 fatalities over the past 13 and a half years.” Meanwhile, “right-wing extremists averaged 337 attacks per year in the decade after 9/11, causing a total of 254 fatalities.”
Kurzman and Schanzer’s methodology, moreover, may underestimate the degree to which domestic terrorists in the United States are motivated by right-wing views. As they describe the term in their New York Times piece, the term “right-wing extremist” primarily encompasses anti-government extremists such as members of the sovereign citizenmovement, although it also includes racist right-wing groups such as neo-Nazis. Thus, it is not yet clear whether Dear, who made anti-abortion remarks but also reportedly referenced President Obama, was motivated in part by the kind of anti-government views that are the focus of Kurzman and Schanzer’s inquiry.
Kurzman and Schanzer also surveyed hundreds of law enforcement agencies regarding their assessment of various threats. Of the 382 agencies they spoke with, “74 percent reported anti-government extremism as one of the top three terrorist threats in their jurisdiction,” while only “39 percent listed extremism connected with Al Qaeda or like-minded terrorist organizations.”

Liz hero types other than Robert Dear are James Kopp & Eric Rudolph & Troy Newman(endorsed Ted Cruz) etc…

How many black people kill and destroy property like the LONG LIST of white men terrorizing fellow Americans in America at abortion clinics or at health workers homes etc…?

http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/30/us/anti-abortion-violence/
(CNN)Between 1973, when the Supreme Court decided abortion should be legal throughout the United States, and 2003, abortion providers have been the targets of more than 300 acts of extreme violence, including arson, bombings, murders and butyric acid attacks.

For years, anti-abortion extremists have been targeting Planned Parenthood, which provides reproductive health care, sex education to women and men and, at some clinics, abortions.

From protests to killings

For years, abortion providers have been targeted on a spectrum of aggressiveness. The National Abortion Federation reports more than 176,000 instances of picketing at clinics (and nearly 34,000 arrests) since 1977. It has documented more than 16,000 reported cases of hate mail or harassing phone calls, over 1,500 acts of vandalism and 400 death threats.

There have been more than 200 bombings and arson attacks at facilities that offer abortion services, the organization reports.
According to the federation, the first reported clinic arson occurred in 1976, three years after the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision. A series of clinic bombings followed in 1978 and 1984.
But violence ticked up dramatically in the 1990s. Anti-abortion extremists — particularly those aligned with the extremist group Army of God — began to make their position clear that killing abortion providers was the only way to stop the procedure from being performed.
• Dr. David Gunn was shot and killed in Pensacola, Florida, by a gunman who was against abortion in March 1993.
• Dr. John Bayard Britton and his volunteer security escort, James H. Barrett, were shot and killed in front of a Pensacola clinic in July 1994.
• Clinic employees Shannon Lowney and Lee Ann Nichols were shot and killed in Brookline, Massachusetts, in December 1994.
• Off-duty police Officer Robert Sanderson was killed in the bombing of a clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, in January 1998.
• A sniper killed Dr. Barnett Slepian in Amherst, New York, in October 1998. The 51-year-old physician had been the target of anti-abortion protesters since the 1980s.
• An anti-abortion gunman killed 67-year-old George Tiller in a Wichita, Kansas, church in 2009. Tiller was one of the few U.S. physicians who performed late-term abortions.

Security and fear

Anti-abortion violence also has caused considerable property damage, according to the National Bureau of Economic Research paper. The violence has amped up the need for more security, and it has made abortion facility workers more stressed and afraid, the paper said. Workers have resigned over concerns about being targeted or the fear of being victimized, it noted.

Acid attacks and anthrax threats

In the late 1990s, anti-abortion extremists used butyric acid in a series of attacks on clinics that did thousands of dollars in property damage…”

Ted Cruz Loves Killer Lover

‘Before Shooting, Cruz Touted Endorsement From Activist Who Called For Execution Of Abortion Doctors’
http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2015/11/30/3726326/before-shooting-cruz-touted-endorsement-from-activist-who-called-for-execution-of-abortion-doctors/

Ted Cruz was the first Republican candidate to address the Planned Parenthood shooting, tweeting that he was “[p]raying for the loved ones of those killed, those injured and first responders who bravely got the situation under control in Colorado Springs.”

In a campaign event on Sunday, he called the murders “horrific and wrong.”
But just days before the shooting, Cruz touted the endorsement from an activist who has called for the “execution” of abortion providers. In his 2003 book, Troy Newman said the entire country was “blood-guilty” for their failure to kill “abortionists.”

(Read book excerpt)

Newman, currently the president of the far-right anti-abortion group Operation Rescue, argues that his book was just a “theological study” and that his writing does not constitute “advocating violence.”

…But in a September 2003 press release, Newman criticized the conviction of Paul Hill for murdering a Florida abortion doctor.”

From: http://hotair.com/archives/2015/11/30/quotes-of-the-day-2266/

“Eco-terrorism is on the decline, but even when it was at its height, no one blamed Al Gore for ELF attacks or told environmentalists to shut up lest they further inflame their tiny fringe. The way to combat environmentalist excess is to debate it on the merits and defeat it in the ballot box…

America doesn’t have a problem with Christian terrorism or with eco-terrorism. True homegrown extremists are but the smallest blip on our criminal-justice system’s radar. Thankfully, our few domestic terrorists are isolated, shunned by every reasonable activist, organization, politician, and citizen.

To claim otherwise is to lie. To claim otherwise is to tempt Americans to take their eyes off the real threat to our security — a rapidly growing mass movement that is wholly and completely dedicated to violence. Our real worry shouldn’t be an alienated teenager with a Confederate flag or an angry hermit who hates the government. It should be the fully mobilized jihadist armies controlling nation-sized chunks of territory, the entire governments dedicated to the spread of jihad and seeking nuclear weapons, and their tens of millions of supporters and sympathizers. These are the evil fanatics who have killed and maimed thousands of Americans, and aim to kill thousands more. They continue to show us what a true terror threat looks like, but too many of us still refuse to look.”

http://news.yahoo.com/us-marine-found-guilty-killing-transgender-filipino-080856343.html

Convicted of Homocide and not Murder, Marine LCpl Pemberton has been convicted for the killing of Jennifer Laude.

I remember when I was in the Navy, and they would warn us about the possibility of getting a he/she instead of a she. Option A: Tip your hat, and wish her the finest of days as you gather your stuff and walk out. Option B: Have her blow you, then bang her in the butt like you wanted to when you picked her up. Wrap that rascal first through.

But whatever you do, don’t try to beat her up! If you do, she will either kick your a$$, or call the cops on you, and probably both. It will cost you much more than to have just walked away.

On the radio this morning, Michael Graham asked me about recent polls finding that 40 per cent of millennials think “hate speech” should be criminalized and nearly a third of Democrats feel the same way about dissent from “climate change” orthodoxy. And that’s why John Kerry stands up in Paris and blurts out that killing cartoonists for drawing something you disapprove of has a “legitimacy” or “rationale”. If you don’t believe in free speech for climate deniers or homophobes, why would you believe in it for Charlie Hebdo? Sure, you might be a little squeamish about gunning them all down in cold blood – but all you’re doing is quibbling over the penalty: fines for trans apostates, prison for climate apostates, death for Islamic apostates. They’re merely different points on the same continuum.

Interview between Uproxx’s Danger Guerrero and Keith Phipps (who actually saw a screening of The Revenant in a theater):

DG: Right, but there’s no way you could have, like, gotten up to get popcorn and gotten stuck in a long line and missed Leonardo DiCaprio getting sexually assaulted by a male bear on two non-consecutive occasions?

KP: I can state definitively that I was present in the theater and fully awake throughout The Revenant and that it contains no scenes of a bear raping Leonardo DiCaprio, or anyone else.

DG: And you’re very sure about this? The no-bear-raping thing?

KP: I believe that part of what makes movies such a wonderful art form is the act of interpretation. There’s no “right” or “wrong” reading of a film. Having said that, anyone who tells you a bear rapes Leonardo DiCaprio in The Revenant is wrong.

DG: Right, but are you like very, very sure?

KP: I am.

So we have black students in Chicago posting fake threats against white students, and black students at Kean posting fake threats against black students. All because of white privilege, or something.

Charles Lindbergh advocated for the US to stay out of WW2 because Nazi Germany was unbeatable. Obama preaches some weird philosophy about no country having violent citizens except the US–in Paris while the bodies of the slain are still being buried…

We should not go into any war unless we’re willing to go all-in; but likewise, we should not assume any group of humans is superior to us. We should not attack those who are willing to be our friends or leave us alone; but we should never pay the Danegeld.

We’re all the same, except for leadership, motivation, skills, and equipment. And these are not all of equal weight.

Read about Isandhlwana and Rorke’s Drift, El Obeid and Omdurman, Goliad and San Jacinto, First Bull Run and Gettysburg, Kasserine Pass and El Guettar, Task Force Smith and Incheon.

We’re so lucky in that we have the second amendment allowing Americans to have mass shootings every day of the year so be sure to tell your Korean friends how much you love your guns so the world can laugh at dumb GOP Americans/NRA allowing everyday mass shootings ❗ ❗ ❗
334 Days, 351 Mass Shootings
There have been more mass shooting this year in America than there have been days so far this year 😳
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2015/11/30/there-have-been-334-days-and-351-mass-shootings-so-far-this-year/
“It is just the latest in a year of more-than-daily mass shootings in America. In fact, there had already been one mass shooting on Friday — in the early morning hours, two people were killed and two injured in a shooting at a restaurant in Sacramento. Another mass shooting incident in Boston in the early hours of Thanksgiving Day took the life of a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority rail conductor.
There have been at least 351 mass shootings so far this year, according tonews reports collected by a reddit community that tracks these incidents. The reddit tracker defines mass shootings as incidents in which four or more people, including the gunman, are killed or injured by gunfire. The Mass Shooting Tracker is different from other shooting databases in that it uses a broader definition of mass shooting — the old FBI definition focused on four or more people killed as part of a single shooting.
There were at least 12 mass shootings in the U.S. last week so far, counting the Colorado Springs shooting. That shooting would also be the second mass shooting in Colorado Springs this month.”

@53,

Your issue is hypocritical because the GOP does the same and if(that’s a VERY big “IF”), they ever win a presidential election anytime soon whoever the GOP(is near an end so I’ll NEVER be wrong) president is will have MORE costly dinner plates just as Paul Ryan did way back in 2012. How stupid can GOPers be paying so much to hear a hopeful vice president speak 😆

How much: $50,000 per plate
Earnings: about $600,000 to $1 million

His most expensive fundraising dinner was the $50,000 per plate meal at the Union League in Philadelphia.”

We should all try to resist the urge to react to the provocations of those who fight with their tiny brains tied behind their back.

We should show we are more than wormfood and look around to find ways to help out the less fortunate while we’re this side of the dirt. There are a lot of them.

While some around us see happiness and try to take a dump on it, the more enlightened person strives to use his limited time to lift others out of slavery.

There are many opportunities to lift up those less fortunate than we. Homeless shelters, assisted living and nursing facilities, food banks, and more are all around us. And they need our time as well as our funds.

Whether you choose to celebrate our Savior’s birth later this month is between you and Him. But my wish for all of you is the following:

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”

And may you find where you can do something of eternal value.

Black Lives Matter seems to agree with me on this.

P.S. I somehow don’t think Farooq Syed was attempting to shoot up Planned Parenthood. Perhaps you were a bit premature in your assumptions.

#63 If by “across the street” from Planned Parenthood you mean any location west of the shooting location, I suppose you could be correct. Using this reasoning, Disneyland is also across the street from the shooting location. However, the Planned Parenthood in San Bernardino is about one kilometer directly to the southwest of the shooting location (about one mile away by SUV).

@68,
I was just going with the substantial odds with white man domestic terrorism which is HUUUGE in America compared to anyone else.

It isn’t clear what their motives were, but as more pieces of the puzzle are coming together it is starting to look like Islamic terrorism. I have heard reports that people in their home were working in the garage late into the night and receiving multiple deliveries supposedly with 3 or 4 Middle Eastern men visiting at all hours.

I get that the odds of being killed by Muslim terrorism are low in our country right now. I have a feeling that could change in the near future. Globally, the string of coordinated mass attacks has been pretty consistent over the past month. It may have finally hit our shores.

@69, why leave out 9/11? I think you’ll find, if you do better research, the “right-wing extremists” they list were registered Democrats–and voted that way. The so-called “right-wing” KKK was all Democrats. All of the recent shootings have been done by Democrats or their mentally-ill offspring. You need to get some fresh air.

BTW, I am not saying all or most Democrats are homicidal lunatics. Not all/most Muslims, either. So knock off the sophomoric strawman BS. Unless you stop using stereotypes from 1930s commie agitprop, you’re not going to garner anything but contempt.

GOP Leader Trump Attacks Jewish people
Donald Trump Tells Republican Jews That He Is a Negotiator, Just Like ‘You Folks’
http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2015/12/donald-trump-gives-non-kosher-speech-to-gop-jews.html#
“I’m a negotiator, like you folks,” the candidate told the assembled Jewry. As the speech unfolded, it became clear that the line was not spontaneous and that Trump had decided his passion for saving money would be a real winner with this audience.

After touting his plans to renegotiate the Iran agreement, Trump asked, “Is there anybody in this room who doesn’t renegotiate deals?” After a moment of reflection, Trump concluded that there were probably more renegotiators here than in “any room I’ve ever spoken.”

The Jews will never support Trump, because they like to buy their politicians

The candidate went on to clarify that, while he admires much of the way Jews handle their money, he isn’t crazy about how they try to buy up our political system.

“I don’t want money, so, therefore, you’re not going to support me because, stupidly, you want to give money,” Trump said. “You want to control your own politician.”

Trump repeated this point about how he wouldn’t take the money that his audience was desperate to give him several times in his short speech.

To review, Trump assumed a room of Jews were negotiators, like him. And then said they won’t support him because he doesn’t want their money.”

Hero back on feet

Army Staff Sergeant Kim Jung-won jumped up and down to the cheers of a small crowd at a veterans’ hospital in Seoul, Wednesday. If anybody detected a bit of a limp, it’s because the 23-year-old stood on an artificial limb, having lost the lower part of his right leg in the explosion of a North Korean landmine on the south side of the Demilitarized Zone on Aug. 4……………………………

President Park Geun-hye, Defense Minister Han Min-koo and U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) Commander Gen. Curtis Scaparrotti, among other public officials, praised the two soldiers’ acts of heroism. As a result, the government has decided to cover all Kim’s medical and rehab expenses, addressing an absurd regulation that only covers one month of treatment for soldiers injured in the line of duty.

This surprised me. I hope SK changes their regulation to cover all their servicemen injured in the LOD,

ROKDROP FAVORITE George Zimmerman Suspended From Twitter After Posting Nudes Of Ex

Let’s get real here, ROKDROP is a GOPer LOVER website as I don’t recall anyone ever saying anything bad about George Zimmerman 😆

Bad person George Zimmerman has once again hit the news for bad behavior.

George Zimmerman’s frequently controversial Twitter behavior appears to have actually caused his account to get suspended, following his posts of apparent nudes of an alleged ex-girlfriend. Zimmerman accuses this alleged ex-partner of cheating on him with, according to his own tweet, “a dirty Muslim.” Another tweet also included a phone number “with a Kentucky area code,” according to the Daily Dot, who placed a call to the number and confirmed it appeared to belong to the woman named in one of the tweets.

In addition to clearly violating Twitter’s abusive behavior policy, which strictly bans the sharing of “intimate photos” without the subject’s consent, some argue that the posts may have broken the law:

“I think after Paris, and as we learn more about this event [in San Bernardino] we need to be nimble enough and pragmatic enough to recognize that there’s definitely a small number of documented mass-casualty shootings that have been ended by off-duty law enforcement and civilians,” said Eugene O’Donnell, a professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.

A former police officer, Mr. O’Donnell said about half of mass shootings are finished before the first officer arrives, given that “these are people that are coming in to kill.”

“They’re coming in to kill as many people as they can, as quickly as they can, so the old model — the police would get there, they would cordon the place off, you could talk people through — a large number of these events are going to be over before the cops get there,” Mr. O’Donnell said.

Of course they are.

…and the reality is that, while crazy white conservative right-wing Christian Republicans (or anyone who can be misrepresented as one) make big news, many of these “mass shootings” are done by some brother in the hood shooting into a group of other brothers in the hood over some wannabe gangsta-inspired conflict. It just doesn’t make the news…

…and, of course some (documemted) crazy white hits some random public place and it is shocking… while some black gangsta is just taking care of business in his own hood… so that is nobody else’s problem.

From the NYT!!!!!

And remember, when people are talking about gun control, they’re not talking about Obama’s many failures, ranging from the failures of vetting and counter-terrorism that may have led to the San Bernardino attacks themselves, to Obama’s foreign policy debacles in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, to how the #BringBackOurGirls hashtag campaign against Boko Haram accomplished nothing, to how Putin is running wild in Eastern Europe, to Obama’s plans to import more poorly-vetted refugees from Muslim countries that foment terror or the still-anemic economy that has left far too many Americans unemployed or underemployed despite years of “recovery.”

Those are all things that the Obama Administration — and the Hillary Clinton campaign — don’t want to talk about. So the editorial board of the Times has pulled out all the stops to ensure that we talk about gun control instead. Gun control isn’t a great issue for the Democrats, but it’s better than all those other topics of discussion, and the expected angry response from the gun-rights community will ensure that people aren’t talking about topics that make the White House look bad.

Interesting when a white guy goes on a shooting spree, the blame falls on whites, Christians, conservatives, Republicans, and guns.

When a Muslim goes on a shooting spree, the blame is only on the guns.

Side note: I have been spending a lot of time with Muslims recently… and am developing a modified outlook on the entire situation… understanding a number of valid concepts from their point of view. I will write about that in some time when my conclusions are complete. As of now, one thing that has been reinforced is that Islam is really not compatible with functional American values and lifestyles… and, while toleration of non-intrusive beliefs is an American attribute, Islam, like beastiality or the Kardashians, should neither be encouraged nor empowered.

Importing fanatics directly from the source is national madness.

I had some Muslim neighbors when we lived in Arlington, near DC.
They had children about the same age as ours, so they would play together a lot and I’d often talk to the mothers. I learned a lot about their traditions and holidays, and the kids were pretty well behaved (not like Mormons, more like American kids).
One day I was watching a son and daughter of one of the families and the subject of dogs came up, somehow. According to daughter there was a mean man who owned a dog and would use it to “attack children”. Apparently the man was also Muslim. She relayed that one day the man tried to use the dog to attack them. I don’t know the veracity of the claim, but what she said next made me raise an eyebrow.
“Now, he is going to burn in hellfire for attacking Muslim children!”
Attacks on other children were fine I guess?
