USFK Commander Wants Investigation Into Leaking of OPLAN to the Media

It looks like General Scaparrotti is not happy that the new OPLAN developed between the US and South Korean militaries has been leaked to the media:

Commander of the United States Forces Korea (USFK) Gen. Curtis Scaparrotti has requested a joint investigation into the leakage to the media of a new military operation plan signed recently with the South Korean military, according to a parliamentary audit into Seoul’s Defense Ministry.

“It is a fact that there has been a request (from Scaparrotti) for a joint probe,” Cho Hyun-chun, the head of the Defense Security Command, said in response to a lawmaker’s query on the recent media coverage of the new OPLAN 2015 during the parliamentary audit session.

Adding to the admission, Defense Minister Han Min-koo said the USFK commander raised a complaint over the media coverage of OPLAN

2015 during their meeting last month to review the performance of their joint Ulchi Freedom Guardian exercise.  [Korea Herald]

GEN Thurman had the same frustration when he was here. For some reason the Korean military can’t keep their mouth shut on anything.

Want something to get out…telephone, telegraph or tell a Korea officer.

I wonder if there is some kind of shield law here, where the SK media reporter can refuse to give up the confidential source.

The Koreans saw what happened in America, where the streets ran with patriot blood all summer during Jade Helm. Over 100 million white, Christian Americans perished in the tragedy when Obammy declared martial law and went door to door confiscating guns, aborting fetuses, and gay marrying everyone. They don’t want that to happen here. The military is not to be trusted.

It’s available to anyone with a CENTRIXS-K account – which means thousands of US and Korean personnel have access. It only takes one South Korean soldier who has anti-American sentiments and/or pro-North Korean sentiments and is pissed off because he has to serve a two year conscription to compromise a document that took years of work and cost millions of dollars in man hours to create.

There were a lot of people who bought the InfoWars style fearmongering on Jade Helm.

None of them frequent the ROK Drop.

Leon, I don’t know why you keep trying to rub our noses in a pile that no one here made. I think the majority opinion here was: “It’s probably nothing, but it doesn’t hurt to pay attention. Also, the current relationship between the federal government and private citizens is to blame for all of this suspicion.”

No one I know, outside ROKDROP talks about it. You, Leon, talk like an Obama voter. That’s another point. I really don’t know where GI falls on the subject. Reporters are so overwhelmingly Democrat, you’d be hard-pressed to find one who wasn’t. Even at Fox. So you go dig up a news story about it and find one written by a Republican that I know and I’ll back down.

The only folks keeping the story alive were reporters who misrepresented what the Governor said into some sort of paranoiac reaction to Obama…

Seriously… Who do you hang out with? 😉

Sorry not an Oblammy voter. The way the republicans have acted the last seven years, the move farther right and into wacky fundie land has turned me against them though. It’s not that I like Oslammy, it’s just that his enemies are worse.

Anyhoo, YOU said, “…it’s only Democrats…”

You made the claim therefore the onus is on YOU to substantiate the claim. Or you can admit you lied or were confused.

Or you can ignore it like you normally do when you are proven wrong.

You, Leon, still talk like an Obama voter. I don’t blame you for wanting to distance yourself from it.

But let’s not change the subject, shall we? “What’s funny is that it’s only Democrats and Rand Paul supporters (sorry for being redundant) who even thought twice about Jade Helm….” is not the same as “…it’s only Democrats…”…

Who kept the story alive? Who was trying to paint Governor Abbott (whom I still don’t like or trust) as a leader of tinfoil hat commandos? The GOP? The Tea Party? Seriously, now….

It’s just you, here… And just Democrats in the press…

You might need better glasses and less caffeine…

agree to disagree?

You just can’t name them. Go ahead and admit it. You’re so partisan you can’t admit that it was a republican/GOP/right wing/nutter/teabagger creation from the get go. It doesn’t matter the political leanings of the reporters if they are reporting facts, and the fact is it was a republican creation. I know you can’t stand being wrong. I know you were indoctrinated with hate and credulousness at an early age. I know you imagine the democrat and republican parties to hold the same stances and represent the same constituency as they did in the 1860’s.

Of course you want me to drop it – because you can’t list these Jade Helm Democrats.

According to your book you are so fond of quoting, it’s a sin to lie.

*sigh* Okay, so who are the people I know who talk about it.

It’s like you’re getting all bent out of shape like that lefty wing guy who flew his plane into the Austin office building. Maybe you are tbone’s alternate persona and need counseling too?

And who besides Obama voters ever uses words like “republican/GOP/right wing/nutter/teabagger”? Seriously, “teabagger”? You outed yourself, “Dude”.

And it’s rather poignant that you know what’s in the Book and still choose Perdition. I do feel sorry for you and your shiny belt.

You attempt to insult by insinuating I’m an Obammy voter or democrat isn’t working. The D and R have ceased to have a whole lot of relevance except for certain fringe elements. I choose to vote my conscious and pro-American, as in the best candidate and what is best for the country, regardless of party affiliation (or lack thereof).

That said. You can deflect all you want. You used the “people you know” card in the related forum post. HERE you said “Democrats.” You, like most of the religious right, care very little about facts and the truth. You can’t produce this list of “democrats” who you alleged were the only ones talking about this. I can assure you the right wing was talking about it quite a bit, and I produced legitimate quotes and proof.

I know you won’t want to admit you are wrong. Your partisanship is more important that the truth. After all, once you admit you are wrong, readers here (and you, if you have any self awareness) will have to ponder what else you might be wrong about. Or, you could use this as an opportunity to grow.

AND: The quickest way to become a non-believer is to read the Buy-Bull and pay attention.

Reminds me of my days in the Western Corridor in the 1980s. Mama-san wouldn’t let the girls have all-nights every once in a while, so all the ville rats would come in early and announce we were having an alert that night. They were never wrong….

Reports and Leon continue to troll about Jade Helm. Well, even the reports have stopped. So now it’s just a guy who calls people teabaggers–but he isn’t a Democrat, just ask him! And now he says no difference between D and R but makes certain to bring up “the religious right” as though all religious people vote in a single monolithic bloc.

Since Leon started flaming me, tbone has stopped flaming CH.

Is there a connection?

Yeah. I think so.

We need a better class of trolls. One that can stay off the meth for a few weeks.

Yeah. You’re right. That was a bit much. But, in my defense, the reflection from Leon’s belt caught me off guard…

I still don’t know who he means by ” the right wing”, as I probably hang out with different folks than he does. I don’t read the local newspapers or watch any of the local TV stations, so I might have missed famous political figures chatting about it; but frankly, I can’t imaging even Governor Abbot bringing it up unless a reporter asked a question. And I stand by my statement about which party reporters support. It’s reasonably-well documented.

I don’t belong to the Tea Party but I have noticed that it is not moderate or conservative folks who use the homophobic slur “teabagger” to describe them. It’s Democrats.

And frankly, unless any of you can point me to a list of non-Democrat, non-Ron Paul types who were involved in the lies and hoopla:

Hartford Courant‍ ’s Jim Shea “In case you missed it, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has instructed the State Guard there to monitor a U.S. military training exercise this summer to make sure it isn’t a cover being used by the federal government as part of a plan to seize control of the state.” (As stated before, the Governor was not worried about a takeover, he wanted cheap training. But that doesn’t make for good theatre…)

NY Times Manny Fernandez “According to some right-wing bloggers and activists” (but no names)

InfoWars Alex Jones (Who never met a conspiracy theory he wouldn’t print, so folks who read his stuff and expect truth probably still think the Earth is flat…)

Washington Post Dan Lamothe “The military exercise Jade Helm 15 generated enough conspiracy theories this year that it garnered mockery on late-night television, commentary from presidential candidates and reaction from the Texas governor.” (the whole point of the exercise, since Abbott dared to oppose King Barry)

… and literally dozens of other newspapers run by Democrats… because that’s who runs newspapers…

Can we get back to critical reviews of bad haiku now?

Setnaffa, here’s another opportunity to inform yourself.

Early Tea Partiers innocently embraced the term until they discovered its vulgar connotations (see also the 1998 John Waters movie Pecker). In a twist, some conservatives have recently advocated that the word be reclaimed. Here’s a look at the evolution of the insult:
