Promotion By Ft. Bragg Twitter Site Causes Surge in Popularity for Sex Worker

This is a gigantic fail by whoever was responsible for Ft. Bragg’s Twitter site:

“Holy s—, this is the largest US military installation,” an OnlyFans adult-content creator said to herself on October 22, moments after one of her Twitter posts went viral.

The sex worker, who asked that we refer to her by her stage name, Quinn Finite, was in the car with her boyfriend when she started receiving hundreds of alerts after the official Twitter account for Fort Bragg, the home of the US Army’s Airborne and Special Operations Command, had replied to her tweets with sexually charged messages in public view.

The elite Army base’s Twitter account commented on her pubic hair and reacted to one of her nude images by suggesting that Finite and the Twitter account should engage in sexual acts.

As the minutes passed by, hundreds of Twitter users began noticing the sexually charged tweets and replying back with jokes. The installation responded roughly an hour later by claiming its account was compromised by a malicious entity.

“As many of you may know, there were a string of explicit Tweets from our account this afternoon,” a representative for the North Carolina base said in a statement. “This was not the work of our admins. Our account was hacked. We apologize to our followers.”

The next morning, the XVIII Airborne Corps apologized for its earlier statement and identified an “administrator” as the source of the tweets. “Appropriate action” was underway, the unit said.

Fort Bragg’s official Twitter account was taken down the same day and remained offline as of Tuesday.

You can read more at the link, but the sex workers says that the Tweet caused interest in her site to rise so much that she went from making $7,000 a month to $35,000 a month.

North Carolina Man Arrested for Prostituting Ft. Bragg Soldier

Is it accurate to say that someone was “forced” into prostitution when the soldier in the below article willing decided to work for the pimp for financial gain?  For sake of argument if a woman decided to break the law by robbing houses while a man sat in the get away car outside would we say the woman was forced into burglary?  To me it seems they are both equally guilty.

A man who forced a 19-year-old Fort Bragg soldier into prostitution last year threatened to tell the soldier’s commander about her exchanging sex for money, new court documents say.

The court documents also revealed that the soldier was the victim of sex trafficking as a juvenile.

Jibri Quandel Thomas, 23, of the 3200 block of Brookemere Place, was charged by the Fayetteville Police Department in connection with exploiting the soldier. He turned himself in to Fayetteville police detectives Jan. 11 and was indicted in federal court Jan. 28.

A superseding indictment in federal court filed April 25 charged Thomas with two counts of transporting for prostitution and racketeering for prostitution.  [Fayetteville Observer]

You can read the rest at the link, but it sounds like this soldier probably should have never been in the Army in the first place considering she was a practicing prostitute at the age of 17 before she even enlisted.  Joining the military was an opportunity for this soldier to turn her life around; it is unfortunate she did seize that opportunity.

Homeless Man Found Living In 3rd Special Forces Group Barracks Was Holding Formations and Conducting Room Inspections

This story from Ft. Bragg is well worth spending a few minutes to read because it is hilarious:

The civilian found living in the barracks of Fort Bragg’s 3rd Special Forces Group was a “con-artist” who had never served in the armed forces, but had enough knowledge of the military to dupe others into believing he was a soldier, according to an investigation obtained by The Fayetteville Observer.

The report does not name the civilian, citing personal privacy, but according to public arrest records that match the circumstances described by the military, the civilian in the barracks was Triston Marquell Chase, 20.

U.S. Army Special Operations Command public affairs officers declined to say what name the civilian was known by to 3rd Group soldiers.

According to the investigative report, the civilian posed as an explosive ordnance disposal specialist for A Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group. He was discovered after a drunken driving arrest on Fort Bragg in December. The civilian — and Chase, according to state court records — has six felony charges from 2014, including identity theft and larceny of a firearm, pending in Harnett County.

In the days following Chase’s arrest, military officials unraveled the story of how he exploited the lack of oversight in the barracks to obtain a room key, access the barracks and live there for months.  [Fayetteville Observer]

This guy must have been quiet the personality considering he had people loaning him their cars, and women regularly stopping by:

The person said he felt sorry for the man and provided him a key to his barracks room on the third floor, according to the investigation.

Investigators learned multiple women had visited the civilian in his barracks room and brought him food. One person told investigators that the man said he never had any money because he used his funds to take care of his family.

Heck this guy was even holding room inspections and holding his own formations!:

The fact-finding soldiers went to the barracks where they saw the man outside with six soldiers standing in formation with no Army combat uniform tops, just brown T-shirts, according to the investigation.

The officer told the man he needed to speak with him. The man said he was busy because “my supervisor told me to get these guys straight.”  (……..)

The man had become such a staple around the barracks that several soldiers said they had seen him conducting room inspections and assigning rooms to new soldiers, according to the investigation.

Sounds like the Army should get this guy to enlist and serve as the barracks manager.
